I shall return- Simon Addo

Former Black Stars goalkeeper Simon Addo has pointed out that he is preparing
feverishly as goalkeeper’s coach.
And baring any unforeseen hitches, he has promised to return to the land of his
birth to impart what he has acquired in terms of technical expertise and experience
to Ghana soccer.
He told Happy FM’s Charles Osei Asibey in an interview that the country abounds with
talents, and so he has buried his head into coaching, and planning to return to give
back to society.
The former Olympia is currently based in the United States of America where he is
pursuing a coaching course in goalkeeping; coaching U-11 and U-20.
“I have completed the License “B” course and looking forward to doing the License “A”.”
Reacting to the public perception about goalkeeper Richard Kingson, revealed that
“Oleley” is not finished yet, and that his performance in the last World Cup is
ample testament that he has more to offer the country.
He however admonished that the Ghanaian football authorities should train more
younger keepers who will be readily available should ‘oleley’ bow out.
Addo, the junior brother of Joseph Addo also a former Black Stars player was a
member of the historic Olympic side that won bronze in the 1992 Olympics in
Barcelona.
Born and bread in the Harbour City, Tema, the good looking goalkeeper began his
soccer career with a Colts side by name The Masters, he later joined Prisco Minis,
Standfast, Afienya U-20, Gold Fields, GHAPOHA, a club in Greece in that order before
retiring.
He played alongside the late keeper Ibrahim Dossey, Anthony Osei Kwadjo, Sammy
Adjei(Player), Kwame Ayew, Yaw Preko,Yaw Acheampong, Maxwell Konadu, Adjetey Lee
among others
