1st Annual Athletics Stakeholders Forum

As part of the ongoing comprehensive reform effort to revive athletics in Ghana, the leadership of the Athletes Association of Ghana will be hosting the 1st Annual Ghana Athletics Stakeholders Forum to be held at the African Regent Hotel in Accra on Thursday October 2nd, 2008 starting at 12:30pm.

The goal is to dissect the current state of athletics with the hope of reaching a consensus on the way forward. Areas for discussion will include, administration and development structures, leadership, Athletes Commission, sponsorship, talent identification, coaching, sports medicine, media/public relations, and rebranding our image.

The priority areas to be agreed upon and the relevant proposed solutions will serve as a framework for moving athletics forward in Ghana.
