Red Bull Academy Host National U.17 Soccer Team.

Red Bull Soccer Academy will from Saturday 9th -16 August 2008 host the National Under 17 Soccer Team the Black Starlets at Sogakope. The Starlets have a crucial match with their Libyan counterparts later this month during the first round matches of the 8th African Youth Championship Algeria 2009 at the Ohene Djan Stadium.

According to the General Manager of Red Bull Academy Siegfried Sanzio Bahner,gesture is to enable the team have adequate preparations before their impending battle.He continued by saying similar gestures will in future be extended to the various national soccer teams.

The one week package include accommodation, feeding and training on synthetic pitches

Head Coach Emmanuel Akwasi Afranie has meanwhile commended Red Bull Academy and believes the good will came at the right time.According to him, the serene environment at the academy will afford his boys to remain focused and also have good concentration .Afranie ended by advising other organizations to emulate the kind gesture of Red bull Academy as a motivation tool for the national players and also lessen the load on government.

Meanwhile CAF has appointed Gambian referees for this month?s crucial encounter at the Ohene Djan Stadium.

Centre referee is Gassama Bakary with compatriots being Jawo Dickory Touray Sulayman on line one and two respectively.Ghanaian referee David Laryea will be the fourth referee with the match commissioner being Martin Akosa from Nigeria.

The Starlets will on Monday 11 August play Red Bull Academy in a friendly match at Sogakope.
