GHALCA urged clubs to ensure healthy competition of league

Accra, Nov. 30, GNA - The Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) has urged all its members to participate in the upcoming Premier league in the spirit of fair play, honesty and engage in a healthy competition to ensure a successful soccer season.

The Association also urged all supporters of the various clubs to comport themselves at all times and eschew any acts of hooliganism. Mr Emmanuel Adotey, Chairman of GHALCA in a press statement copied to the GNA Sports said "on the eve of another league season, the Executives of the Association have the pleasure of greeting all league clubs in the country.

As the welfare body of all clubs in the country, we are happy that after a very long period of waiting, the Premier League is finally about to commence and the burden of maintaining our clubs, without any idea when the league would start has finally been lifted".

On behalf of the entire membership of the Association, Mr Adotey wished all clubs, players and supporters, God's blessings throughout the upcoming league season

Mr Adotey also extended the warm felicitations and appreciation of the Executives to the title sponsors of the Premier League - Onetouch, other sponsors of the league as well as commercial partners who are desirous in supporting the Division One, Two and Three leagues. He said the Association hopes to enjoy enhanced collaboration and support from their competitive facilitators such as the Professional League Board, the Referees Association, the Judicial bodies and administrative personnel of the Ghana Football Association and the National Sports Council and the media for enhanced services so that 'together we can build on the successes of the previous years.
