George Blay in a coma

Ex-Ghanaian international defender, George Blay, is in coma after he was involved in a serious traffic accident in Romania.

The 26-year old, who is in a hospital in the Romanian capital, Bucharest, had a fantastic 2006-07 season, winning the Romanian football league championship with his club Dinamo Bucarest.

Blay played for the Ghana national team - black stars - between 2001 and 2003.

Blay played his club football for Hasaacas(Ghana), Standard (1997-2002), KV Mechelen (2002-2003) and La Louvière (2004-2006) before moving to Romania.
