"New York Mets and Yankees are two of the top teams in the US major League Baseball (MLB) and to get top players from these teams visiting Ghana is a vote of confidence in our effort to develop the game in this country," he said.

Mr Dogbevi said the US Embassy was fully behind the vision to make baseball a major sport in Ghana, adding that in the near future, it should be possible for Ghana to export baseball players to the USA and other places like Japan where baseball was fast developing.
