Nine clubs to vie for Afahye Hockey Cup

Cape Coast, Aug. 31, GNA - Nine Hockey clubs will participate in the 12th edition of the annual Oguaa Fetu Afahye hockey tournament slated for Saturday, September 2, 2006 at the University of Cape Coast Hockey pitch.

The clubs are made up of Golden Sticks, Multi Sticks Veterans, Citizens, and CEPS all from Accra. The rest are Cape Coast Hockey club, Kumasi Stadium Hockey club, Trustees (SSNIT) and NDK Financiers. According to Mr Haruna Issah, programme organizer of the tournament, Cape Coast Vicandy Company has donated a 2.5 million cedi Cup for the tournament.
He said other sporting activities to grace the occasion will include a handball competition between University of Cape Coast and the Veterans.
