Boakye Donates 300 Million To Football Clubs

A renowed bussinessman a football fun in the Asutifi District of the Brong Ahafo Region Mr. P K Boakye has donated an amount worth 300 million cedis to six 3rd Division Clubs in the Asutifi District of the Brong Ahafo for taking part in a gala competition organised by his company. The beneficiaries are Kenyasi no 1 and 2 third division teams, Goamu, Wamahinso, Gambia No 1 and 2 and Ntotorso third division teams respectively with each receiving 50 million cedis as participatory fee. Meanwhile 40 million cedis and a set of jersey had been presented to 'Efiri tete Stars of Gambia No2 for emerging winner of the gala competition and an additional 30 million cedis as preparation fee for their entrance into the 2nd division level,Mr. P K Boakye who is now the like patron of the winning team had earlier on given out an amount of 12 million cedis for the renovation work of thier park to enhance their perfomance in the second division He siad his outfit will provide the necessary logistics to the team for the realisation of its dream which is to pay the premier side.

He said the donation to the participatory teams in the District was part of logistics to improve sporting activities in the district and the nation as a whole. Mr. P K Boakye noted that the Genesis of every play is the Coast side and so much attention must be given to them adding that the logistics would help the foot soldiers of the team to organise their supporters to activitely take part in the fortcoming second division league for the betterment of their lot. He said that his outfit would soon embark on a number of workshops in the district to sentisize exexcutives of the team about the fortcoming 2nd division play - off. He therefore urged all supporters of various teams to burry their differences and work towards victory in 2007. The Chairman if the team Mr. Opoku Asubonteng on behalf of the Gambia No 2 traditional Council thanked him for his immensed contribution towards the sucess of the team and assured that they will put the money into good use to enable the team avhieve its objective which is to play the premier side.

He said that the amount given had provided the opportunity for members of the club to appreciate the good works of Mr, P K Boakye and therefore advised supporters to work hard to enhance access to essencial team work and qualification to the first division which paves way for the premier side. Mr. P K boakye has also promised the poeple of Gambia No 2 of pipe - borne water which will cost about 900 million to solve the acute water shortage in the town.
