Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Felix Annan has said it is his dream to play at the biggest stage in Africa football being the Africa Cup of Nations with the national team of Ghana.
The 24-year old has been invited to the Black Stars as they take on Kenya in the final game of the AFCON qualifier against Kenya on March 23.
Felix who doubles as deputy captain of Asante Kotoko is having one of his best seasons with the club in the CAF Confederation Cup leading to his call-up into the national team by the technical handlers.
“It’s a great feeling whenever you are invited to the senior national team. As a player, it is a dream to represent my country,” Annan told CAFonline.com
“I have been doing my best at Kotoko which I believe caught the attention of the technical team of the Black Stars.
“I’m honoured to be among the players called up and I’m hoping to play my part towards the success of the team.”
“I’m optimistic that if I remain consistent, I can get a shot into the final squad for the Total Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt in June.”, he concluded.
Felix Annan is considered to be one of the local based players to make the final list for the AFCON 2019 to be staged in Egypt in June due to his outstanding performances for Asante Kotoko in the CAF Confederation Cup.
