Let's count and improve on the positives - Herbert Addo

Head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Herbert Addo, has tasked the fans to tune their minds in the coming season and see things in a positive light adding that many good things are ahead of the team.

The coach, who was thrilled with the team’s performance over the two legs of the Super 2 match against Kotoko, revealed that both matches opened his eyes to a lot of positives and was very more interested in the cohesiveness of the team rather than the score line, though the supporters would not agree with him.

“The mindset and the objective of the technical team are very different from that of the supporters because we know what we want to achieve within the short and long haul.”

“The match we played against Kotoko was a very good exercise that helped us achieved our aim of pitching and allowing most of our new players test their battle readiness in high profile matches.”

“To the supporters, it wasn’t a vintage performance because we did not win any of the legs, but the technical team is very satisfied with what we saw and we aim to build on it before the season proper starts.”

The coach was worried about the inability of the authorities to give a specific date for the commencement of the league, an action he stressed is affecting their program schedule.

“In as much as we are still training and preparing for the coming season, I believe that if we get a specific date, it will help in what we want to do and the direction we have to take as a technical team and a Club as a whole.”
