SOURCE: CLASSFMONLINE ------ The Government of Ghana is reviewing the debts incurred by the John Mahama administration to find out whether the loans were used for the purposes of which they were contracted, Senior Minister Yaw Osafo Marfo, has revealed. After the review of the debt situation, the findings will be made public to enable the Ghanaian people realise how their moneys were spent by the previous administration, Mr Marfo added. It is recalled that during the electioneering season the then main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) accused the Mahama government of excessive borrowing but with little to show for, an assertion the then governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) rubbished because they thought they had embarked on several infrastructural projects with those loans. Mr Marfo speaking during the National Policy Summit on Tuesday May 16 said revealed that the new government is investigating all the debts left behind by Mr Mahama. “We are working on the numbers, the ministry of finance gives us the bulk numbers. But they do not all emanate from one source, we have some sitting in energy, some sitting in SSNIT and we are examining all. As a government and we are doing it gradually and slowly because we must be accurate. “We want to be sure that whatever comes out finally is accurate. The government owes it as a duty to keep the nation informed about these debts and what it was used for.”

Over a long time in the history of this country, honest and hard working men are seen by their relations and neighbors , in some weird light. Whereas, people who steal from the treasury and make it big, are appreciated by our society. Let us cut the umbilical cord of corruption now. It will be a good thing for lots of Ghanaians .

Our brothers and sisters deiying on daily basis in the MEDITERRANEAN WATERS. Why? As for the Audit Service, we have to much on them and kick them out of the offices. Why are they being paid? Investigate and obtain audit reports on many public institutions here, including the Municipal and District Assemblies, Polytechnic, Ghana Water Company, ECG, Ghana Highways, Metro Mass, Regional Coordinating Council where many good vehicles, deemed bad were sold for a pittance to Ministers and Deputy Regional Ministers for a trifle, stretching from 2009, in particular. At one tertiary institution, a past Rector ran away with a Nissan Teana saloon car, without government approval, stole money to buy land and built mansions for himself and spouse, bought tripled cost materials for the construction of a Rector's bungalow, diverting the rest of the materials to put up his own mansions, paying wrongful and illegal judgment debts and repurchasing the institution's lands that were previously bought several decades ago, for an outrageous amount from the chiefs of Kojobi, the vendors.

This is a good start to wake up the people in Ghana. They have been sleeping far too long since PNDC regime. The corruption started from that period and yet still we have some people in the Country worshipping those criminals ...
