If our Agric Minister visits Tunisia he will appreciate the power of irrigation on farms in the deserts. This is late in coming but much appreciated.

The first logical step is for the government to increase funding to the Cocoa Research Institute, Crops Research Institute, and the Forest Products Research Institute, to help thoroughly determine why natural pollination is not taking place. Apparently, the pervasive uses of pesticides, insecticides, and weedicides in Ghana are affecting yields of many agricultural products, and not only cocoa. The natural and traditional pollinators such as bees, birds, and butterflies, may be heading to extinction, without nobody paying attention. If we just resort to the artificial pollination of crops, we may soon end up artificially pollinating every agricultural crop in Ghana.

For an article on proposed irrigation of cocoa farms, we are not even told in which towns and Districts the selected farms are.
