Sad decision in Ghana when pregnant students are treated like lepers.Disgraceful institution too rigid in its way of thinking. All inclusive whether you are pregnant of not as pregnancy is not a disease but a phase in life.

This college principal must schooled before she go back to that school as a principal. I have a pregnant student in my school and I joke with her due to the pregnancy.

While it important to reconsider the importance of the student's human rights. The case has more to do with the College's principles and regulations. I see that there are two conflicting obligations. That is between the College and the students marital obligation to have children. While both circumstances are relatively rational, the College Principal should have concluded the matter based on compassionate grounds and allow the Student to complete her examination.

This is rubbish. I trained as a nurse in Ghana and we had pregnant colleagues. Whoever took that decision must be sacked and prosecuted

Is it not funny that a midwifery student has been sacked for been pregnant? If she can't understand how pregnancy is practically ,then how would she feel for her clients in labour. Nursing and midwifery tutors with the council for the past years have lost foresight,yet they condemn those on the field who are constantly in touch with their clients. Tutors or nursing and midwifery training schools are constantly rude and abusive to students,students copy their behaviour and exhibit it on the field and they are complaining. I challenge people to go to these schools and see the kind of dressing the female tutors take to school. The way they humiliate students in front of their colleagues in class is an eye saw. People can attest how senior staff talk to junior ones in the various facilities but they expect you to talk to the patient politely. If people want to know why some nurses are rude, they should try and visit the various council offices for registration or renewal of pin and you will understand what I am saying .Authorities abuse us ,why won't we displace it on patients (NO JUSTIFICATION) We learn what we see. I am happy I will be leaving this profession sooner or later

Allow the lady to write the papers by the end of next week that wil show hw u've codemned the act. The principal shd be transfered immediately so the lady will huv peace of mind to learn. The principal shd also be punished.

It sad to hear JHS students sitting in class pregnant while an adult who can properly take care of herself is treated like a criminal. Ghana our laws sometimes don't make sense.
