In determining your tax code all the freebies are given allowances that increase how much tax you pay. This system increases how much tax you pay to the extent that many people do not take them. Your net salary at the end of the month without the freebies is higher than with the freebies. So we should introduce a tax regime that will act as a disincentive to executives enjoying them.
You are right that many such executives in the U.K. Use public transport, but this is because they are available and they are reliable. So we must get these in place as a priority .

The problem is that his appointment to become CEO of COCOBOARD was political. So he should be condemned for his mishandling of the institution that he headed rather than his remuneration. Gov't has a committee or board who determines salaries etc. Ghana so Dr. Opuni can't be blamed for anything about his GHc75K take-home pay.

CEOs around the world, eg. Microsoft, Sancor Energy Inc., Coca-Cola, SONY, and other top corporations earn $25k or GHc107,500 with some receiving approx. $2-4 million per annum etc. So Dr. Opuni and all those CEOs receiving 5-6 figure income levels in Ghana shouldn't be blamed. It looks like it's not worth working in the country Ghana anymore. What's going on here. This debate should be cease once and for all!

Madness to all these salaries, That's why Ghana is broke. And doesn't pay electricity, water,etc. Ghanians are suffering in other countries coz of these greedy bastards.Are leaders from so call big Churches in the country

No person in Ghana including the President should take home more than 10,000 cedis a month. Politics is a public service and it's not a way to milk the country. Wake-up Ghana!!!!!
