So long as lawyers rule the country so long will emphases be laid on liberal arts. So long as the government pursues free education so long will liberal arts dominate. There will be no money for science laboratories and chemicals. 90% of no government universities are all liberal arts as observed. The travesty is the current government has no plans to adequately resource engineering and science programs not only in the tertiary schools but also in the primary and secondary schools.

Indeed, Ghana and Africa at large will deeply need to prioritize our goals towards science, technology, vocational and technical education. More importantly there is a high need for more enrollment to be encourage in these sectors to create a balance within the shortest possible time with the humanities and business programmes. These technology/technical, vocational and science programme are the foundations of production and manufacturing of what is being consumed globally. Until that is really prioritise we will continue to depend on the west for everything we could easily build local capacities to produce. Prioritising these areas remains the basic conduit for addressing the huge unemployment and continue drift of best brains from Africa to the West to detriment of the continent of Africa. We must as a matter of urgency build the capacities of the various institutions to take up this challenges on board. Nevertheless, corruption, greed and self serving leaders should be eschewed through workable checks and balance for this ambitious proposal to flourish in the best interest of Africa. Our institutions must be made more independent and supported vigorously with the needed resources to help salvage the future of Ghana and Africa as a whole. Yes, it is tough task but we need right attitudes and dedicated servants which are not easy to achieve. Nevertheless, with very conscious political will and the right leadership minded society, these are possibilities that can be achieve. May We Be Bless with this caliber of Political leaders and societal consciousness within the shortest possible time. Ghana and Africa is our sole pride we must jealously guide. Good Bless Ghana and Africa, our home land.

There are more areas Ghana lacks of.
Do Ghanaians check DRUGS which come
from FOREIGN LANDS , including their POTENCY ?
Our HIGHER INSTITUTIONS of LEARNING, the

Prof. Luginaah is right on point but who is listening.
Nana Akufo-Addo, for example, has made partisan patronage appointments the hallmark of his administration. Big disappointment!

In addition to science and logic, our nation must operate on enforced systems, procedures and accountability. How can a government that tolerates lawless parallell vigilante marauders called "Delta force" and "Invincible Forces", conceivably operate on systems and procedures? Do these "forces" even understand the importance and thesis of Dr. Luginaah's seminal lecture?
