Ghana’s President Hurls Insults At Obasanjo At African Forum In London - bloomberg
There was near pandemonium and confusion at the Annual Global African Investment Forum held in Westminster, Central London after a heated exchange between Ghana’s President John Mahama and former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo degenerated into open insults. This was due to General Obasanjo openly accusing the Ghanaian president and his government of blackmailing and collecting bribes from Nigerian businessmen in Ghana, buying numerous properties in Nigeria and South Africa and financially contributing 12 million dollars to Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign last year. This infuriated President Mahama who lost his temper and pointing his finger, called General Obasanjo an ” idiot” and a “silly buffoon”.It took other ministers present as well as Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni to calm tempers and usher President Mahama to a nearby room. The forum, which takes place from 1st to 3rd December is attended by African Heads of States, Ministers, Private equity firms and investors to discuss opportunities for investment and development in African Economies.
Culled from Bloomberg.

If you listen to Joe Ghartey and his committing members you will think they are conducting radio interview. The sort of questions they ask make one wonder if they are intelligent at all. They only allowed Ayariga to rehash the very story he has concocted and rehearsed all this while. If you want to interrogate a person who claims to have been tempted with a bribe these are the sort of questions Joe Ghartey and his tean should have asked:
1) were you given GHS3000.00 2) In which note; GHS 1.00, 2.00, 5.00, 10.00, 20.00 or 50.00 notes.
3) Did you count the money 4)How many were the notes 5) Was it given in raw cash or was packaged 6) If given in envelop what was the colour of the envelope 7) What is the size of the envelope; normal postal envelope or A4, A5, etc. 8) Was there any writing or inscription on the envelope.
These are the sort of questions that will bring out the truth.

Typical. Is this not the same chap who misunderstood the phrase "Violence begets violence" used by the Hon Mark Wayongo once upon a time - if my memory serves me right?
A simple phrase meant to admonish young people up north not to engage in reprisal attacks because it would only create a vicious cycle of violence, was made out to be an irresponsible statement by semi-literate graduates from journalism schools who RFID not: understand its import. Pity.
For the avoidance of doubt, the ICC tries only the following grave crimes: It prosecutes the most serious crimes that are of concern to the international community. These are crimes of genocide, crimes against humanity, and war crimes.
It has also been proposed that the Court should prosecute the crime of aggression too, but the state parties have yet to agree on a definition for that particular category of crime.
Surely, it ought to be blindingly obvious that whitewashing the report of a parliamentary committee of enquiry does not fall under any of the categories of crimes enumerated above?
Trouble about the Ghanaian media is that it is full of educated ignoramuses - the vast majority of whom have failed to master even the basic tool of their profession, the English language.
It would be funny if it were not serious - but this genius must understand clearly that the ICC will not entertain such frivolities from our corruption-riddled society.
Much better to use the media house he works for to demand that the Ghartey Committee is honest in writing the final report of the enquiry it took evidence from a number of MPs during its public sittings. Period.
Hmm, Ghana - enti yeawieye paa enei? Eyeasem o.
