I believe the Npp transition team also dropped the ball without demanding to see these cars but I can blame them since most of these cars were still being used by the Mahama government and not might have been turned in until January the 6th the day before the handover to the new government.

What you're saying is somewhat correct. NPP officials did not verified or physically check the vehicles before signing the paperwork. It's simply childish, I am not sure what they were thinking at that time.

At this point they cannot blame NDC government. NPP acknowledge receipt of 641 vehicles. Simple rules will have prevented the whole saga. You only sign for what you have at hand, not what you are expected to receive.

The NPP transition team was a bunch of educated ignorance. You count before you sign.

In fact, how long are they going to shift the goal posts on this vehicular saga at the presidency? Now, let me try to help Kukurudu out, if I may, after all, what are political friends for? First off, Akufo-Addict government should try to sell those 641 state vehicles duly handed over to them, not on donkomi price to themselves, but to private and business entities out there on a bit cheaper price than normal. After the sale, they can go for their preferable V8s for about 250-300 vehicles with the money received from the previous 641 cars sold.

In that way, they, 1, saved the taxpayers from further burdening, 2, gotten their desirable vehicles in place and 3, reducing the number of vehicles in government institutions across board. End product; everybody is happy.

NPP accepted the inventory list but there was no inspection. NDC is at fault. They did not hand over cars, they handed over a list itemizing 641 cars. That is not a handover. NPP went to inspect the cars and then realized that the cars were not there. Simple investigations would confirm what confirm what I am saying. The NPP can look at the vehicles seized from Kofi Adams and others. If Adam's vehicles match some of the chassis numbers of the vehicles on the handing over list, then it simply means the NDC handed a list of 641 cars some of which are in the possession of NDC officials. Secondly, it is up to the NDC to come out to say that they have inspected the cars jointly and simultaneously with NPP officials, if indeed the cars were duly handed over. If they didn't, the they are lying.
when you withdraw a large amount of cash from the bank, the cashier/teller is required by banking rules to count the money in front of you BEFORE you walk out the back. If he doesn't, you can turn around from the parking lot and claim the amount was less than what should have been paid to you. So handing over car list is not the same as handing over cars.

Somehow the transition team of the Incoming NPP administration thought that the criminal NDC team was just a group with some sort of integrity and lost their guard. The cars were definitely shown to the NPP team but it looks like as soon as they left the scene the looting gangs started their scheme of swiping them. This's the same preemptive strategy that Ayariga and his team used to create that mess at the appointments committee. A bank cashier handing large amount of cash to a customer MUST count it in front of the customer, otherwise the customer can come back to say he/she was short and the bank is liable! Similarly when you rent a car, you sign all the papers before you go pick up your car. If the attendant did not take you to show you the car and you go to the garage and there is no car, who is responsible? The rental dealership is responsible. Did NDC handed over the car keys? So merely showing someone a list does not exonerate you from proving that the items on the list were indeed there.

When you rent a car, the dealer has to show you the car. although you sign the papers, if the car is not in the packing lot when you get there, the dealers is still responsible. Simply signing those papers does not relieve the dealer from ensuring that car is physically present. That's why the attendant has to go show you the car you have signed for. So NDC is at fault.

A gov't known to Ghanaians as corrupt and yet setting up plans to robb the new gov't is making a bitter situation for its self. The NPP might have recovered sharply by depoying a taskforce to retrieve those missing vehicles. Now it is the NDC members protesting against the engagement of the taskforce and described it as lawlessness. Let us consider the case this way. Someone has lost his properties but is not accusing anybody rather, has deployed the service of taskforce in such for the lost items. In a short period of time has the taskforce began intercepting cars from suspects. Suspects are given the chance to defend their ownership requiring them to come out clean by submitting relevant ownership documents as prove to enable them collect their cars back but this has prompted suspects to leveling accusations against the NPP gov't for acting lawlessness for retrieving cars from its owners. Who's competent and incompetent in this case I ask??

NDC officials without knowledge thought they have got advantage to keep hold of the vehicles they were using when they were in power. Then will turn to claim that NPP have received all the cars even though they did not but once they have signed because they have signed the inventory sheet the NDC officials decided not to deliver the cars because they can defend themselves.. The step taken by the NPP gov't was a good trick which can beat any unintelligent thief or corrupt person. Once you are using a stolen car inside the country it's easier for the security intelligence to retrieve. The formation of the taskforce speaks of it. The adage says when you smell already you don't shit in your pant.

Because nobody can be considered as corrupt than a drug baron. ln China a drug peddling is considered as one of the highest crime and is punishable by firing squad. If this patapaa criminal drug peddler is in China he would have been executed let alone contesting to lead a country. So is a drug peddler like patapaa akuffo addo responsible man worthy of electing as a leader of a country? If Mahama is corrupt then akuffo addo is extra corrupt criminal. Oyibi police station need overhauling and transfer from they boss thus the commander he is part of all the problems land owners are facing if care is not taken Oyibi will be in serious darkness one day and police will be the one to be blame . So am calling on the IGP to in and transfer all the police office from oyibi and warn those who will take in charge to be mindful of the past. I believe in IGP he can do it.
