  Can we sustain this? Rich people are getting free medical services. Even people who live in Europe and other developed countries are boasting about getting free NIHS in Ghana. This is unfair for the poor people in Ghana. As you can see the government cannot pay but too shy to say so. They government should weed out the greedy overseas Ghanaians and let rich Ghanaians contribute more. Even UK is now charging foreigners for health service. People should not hide behind dual nationality and dupe the system.

  Isn't this foolishness. I however suspect that these Pharmaceutical Companies are only raking up these debts for their companies because they are in league with politician crooks in the NHIS to overinfalte Pharmaceutical contracts to the government.

  Managing NHIS everywhere in the world has never been easy or smooth sailing. Even the UK and USA are still grappling with it. However, we have a group of desperados here in Ghana who, for whatever reason, claim that they have the magic wand to transform and manage our NHIS so perfectly. These people who at the time they were in charge, could not make the scheme national, but were operating a district mutual system fraught with teething problems ranging from phantom claims to plain thievery. Today they are in control after promising to revive what they claimed had collapsed. Let us hear no complains from them and all their gullible supporters who always believed anything that they alleged or promised. Let us see how a perfect system works. Let them be so resourceful as to be able to settle all claims promptly, get all patients well-attended to and given all their medications ad required. Yes, Service providers and patients must have no cause to complain because now the NHIS experts are in control.
