I think it will be appropriate for Grandpa Asante, to take a back seat. He need to take a break and breath from national issues, although, the people of Ghana will surely miss his eminence and eminent contributions to the socio political development of our dear nation. The effects of the tightening is already being felt and the thieves are feeling it. One of such is when miscreants went to the ECG warehouse to ransack and carry everything away, which matter came up on the day of vetting.
As we know some rather strange 5 million dollar contract between GNPC and Tullow and some EDC outfit has also bitten the dust.
The rot in the sector will be flushed out, indeed uprooted like cassava. The days of Ghana's nascent energy sector being put on the superhighway of thievery as has happened in Nigeria's energy sector is over. Read my lips, it is over.
