GNUTS = Ghana National Union of TECHNICAL Students?

So where do "Technical" students like Asuansi, Kikam, Akwatia, Bawku, Kpando etc belong?

Any help to clarify?

masreee saaaaaa @ Kwame D and vice. The just didnt think and rethink b4 coming out with that. Why are they in a rush to change the name of the association? Where will I put "KTI"? Is it also part of it. smh.

It's good you've asked. The new name simply means the wing of the union is now open to other technical and vocational institutes, it's no more limited to only polytechnics and technical universities students because, we all seems to be aiming at one goal that's job creation therefore, it's necessary we join our force as one people fighting for one common goal. Just like the way the wings of NUPS is open to second cycle institutions and other institutes apart from technical and vocational institutes. The name does not really matter but rather the strong Unity of the Union in fighting for our rights as technical students. Thank you.

This is quite confusing. This group should be GNUTUS instead of GNUTS
Ghana National Union of Technical Universities Union(GNUTS).This will differentiate them the Technical schools. How about the polytechnics not yet approv ...

Yes indeed all second cycle technical institutions are now members of the union by default.... I was part of the cc members who told that bold decision... I know those from the SHS ( grammar school) will not like the name but ...

Yes indeed all second cycle technical institutions are now members of the union by default.... I was part of the cc members who told that bold decision... I know those from the SHS ( grammar school) will not like the name but we should remember that the convention is focused on training technically oriented graduates to boost the country industrious target.

In fact am very surprised as to how some graduates or students who don't always take their time to examine, analyze and ask for clarification if the need arises , they are not ready to seek for information about how the acronym was generated, only what they know is to Castigate people who have spend their time and effort to make the change of the name possible.

I expected those who are criticizing the name to have first asked how the members of Gnups by then established this name, and on what merits and criteria they used to come out with the name.
