This modus oprandi has been employed by fraudsters for far too long and so businessman Adjetey has no excuse falling a victim. Sometimes, these stories are too sweet to be true. If one invested Ghs 2,500 and instantly had Ghs 300 as profit, why didn't the fraudster find money on his own to do it? Better still, why didn't the said company deal directly with the source?

Be careful when you hail a taxi and the taxu driver appears to be friendly as a family member. They are the most dangerous lot in Ghana. They buy your trust and then spread the word to their scam friends in the criminal world as a potential target to dupe. Never ever trust any taxi driver when they appear to be more friendly than you would expect. It reveals that danger lies ahead and stop all communications. It is rather safe to be silent in a taxi than opening up to any conversation that may arise during your journey. Wise up Ghanaians and stop trusting strangers even if they are not Ghanaians.

A friend of mine called me yesterday for a deal i have no idea of.. i had to search on the net for more info and i got to know it a scam. So i called and told him not to bother himself dealing with the so called foreigners because they have arranged to meet him today at holiday inn. To my suprise i woke up to see the story poped up here. My friend would have been a victim if he had not contacted me.

I was surprised the guy knew knew me. I showed interest in his business until I discussed it with my wife. She told me to be careful about 'Too good to be true businesses '; that made me think through it then I decided to listen to my wife's advise. I called the guy back and told him I cannot do the business and also I can't afford to have my name rubbed in a scheming business. I thank God I didn't fall for it. I think that people who easily fall for such schemes are culprits of Greed,lack of del control and love for money. Such schemes are tests of our own characters and innate desires.

I had a call from a Denis yesterday. He mentioned my name, company name and our former office location. Told me he knew me and he is working for OANDO as procurement manager. He said he had a deal with his uncle through his company on a procurement deal from his office which yielded ghs280,000.00 profit. He wants to do similar since I am a guy he can trust.

Similar strategy, I call one seller called Mr. Mensah to check price and negotiate a good deal.

Unfortunately for him, I am smarter than he thought. Spent a little time to research on product and him. have stopped answering his calls.

How they are not being caught beats me especially as every phone is suppose to be registered.

System does not allow me to put their numbers out
