Why was JOHNMAHAMA soooooooo obsessed with using propaganda and nincompoops and buffoons like AKUADONKOR, to attack Nduom and Nana Addo etc needlessly... .. .

The souls of those journalist killed through Pratt's recommendations to PNDC will never forgive Pratt. As poor as this country is they've been able to train doctors for both domestic and international consumption and our dear country Ghana is no exception.
As poor as this country is they've been able to wipe out illiteracy.
As poor as this country is they don't run to the IMF, world banks and other financial organizations for aid.
If Cuba had all the resources Ghana has, trust me my people, it will be a force to reckon with.

Sometimes people talk as if these students problem is now happening. My sister studied French and went to Senegal for their practicals , it was the same. This happened in the early 80's. So all the insults will not help.

The monies spent on 1 student could train 25 in Ghana. NPP admin must sit up review this and come out with an exit plan. After all from the look of things the students want to come home.

I am allergic to comments related to tribalism. Lemme ask, are Ewes and Northerners not Ghanaians? If they are, then why these irritating utterances from some readers. Now some of you claim that it serve them right just because you think they are Ewes ad Northerners. Would you have said same if they were your family members? Absolutely no. It would have been same (some people would have still complained) even if the selection criteria was to pick one student from each of the tribals in Ghana. I there plead that we put tribalism aside and face the reality to helping our brothers and sisters out there for studies. We wouldn't know which of these young medical students would diagnose us in an unknown day to come. Ndc or npp wouldn't help us as youth of Ghana. I can tell you that, most of us criticizing wouldn't have qualified for the medical program even if we were contacted. It is also possible that the criteria for selection was fouled but let's put that aside and see each other as family. Merry Christmas and a Happy new year to you us all. May the true meaning of Christmas be felt in our lives all year through. Amen

In fact, in the US and UK, they are encouraging non-science students to apply to medical schools. research has showed that non-major science students(sociology, maths, philosophy, accounting etc) have both intellectual and the social skills and have become excellent doctors. eg. in the US, the medical entrance exams(MCAT) has been overhauled five years ago to include liberal arts(general arts in Ghana).

So, it does not make any difference that both science and non-science students in undergraduate could be good or bad docs.
