I am sorry, Samson, that you cannot bare the naked facts. It an open secret that the northern part of Ghana is under developed. I myself originate from Wa in the northern Ghana and I know the kind of poverty facing the people living there. We expected the Mahama-Administration to do more to curb the poverty in order to improve the living standards of Northerners! Please think about SADA and other failed projects designed for the northern Ghana. Samson, consider the episode of the young girls and women from northern Ghana who are doing tedious work at Accra Markets and living and sleeping on the streets without Shelters. This is happening under the watch of the President who does not care about the plight and welfare of his own sisters in need on the streets of Accra! Their plight and misery is not far from Flagstaff house, where the President resides. He can find these sad facts out, if he wishes. In my opinion, President Mahama has bitterly failed his own people in the northern Ghana. Indeed he has FAILED categorically!! This the bitter TRUTH.

If President Mahama thinks his northern brothers are fools, then the NPP thinks Ghanaians who aren't Asantes or Akyems are idiots! I support this with following facts.
NPP IS TRIBE-BASED. IT IS ABOUT TIME GHANAIANS STOPPED BEING POLITICALLY CORRECT AND CALLED IT AS SUCH!
Today, Wednesday, December 7, Ghanaians go to the polls to elect the President and MPs
While there may be about five Parties contesting the elections, the two major political parties, the NDC and the NPP are expected to dominate.
In the run-up to the elections, the NPP has persistently accused the NDC, the EC, and the security and the law enforcement agencies of trying to collaborate to rig the elections in NDC's favor and promised to make the country ungovernable should this happen.
First and foremost, the NPP's allegations are without merit and to date none has been proved even though Kennedy Agyapong, NPP MP for Assin Central has been sabber-ratling with "out of this world" allegations which sometimes make you wonder if he is on medication that makes him paranoid. Some of his allegations have bordered on being treasonous. However to the credit of the very government and the security and law enforcement agencies he has been disparaging in his rants on the radio under his and the NPP's warped interpretation of Freedom of Speech, he remains a free person.
The past few days, the NPP has shamelessly provoked actions meant to sow disaffection in the country and disturb the peace Fortunately Ghanaians are "cool and collected". They haven't fallen for those dirty tricks. First, the NPP produced a car that they alleged the President and his brother tried to bribe Bugri Nabu with. They alleged the Gh¢500,000 that accompanied the car had been lodged in a bank account. However, those of us who know Bugri Nabu at Tema are scratching our heads and asking how the NPP could stoop so low with such a stupid and foolish trick. As if that wasn't enough, the Party's asinine- head of a regional chairman Antwi Boasiako, took the police around two places he alleged NDC supporters were stashing weapons and ammunition to cause mayhem during the elections and where NDC-thump-printed ballot boxes were hidden. Both allegations have fallen flat on their faces even before the Police has concluded investigations. Like the liars they're, they can't even get their stories straight. Even NPP supporters know the evidence were planted by their Party. And for once, the President Mahama known for reticence, has come out to condemn the behavior.
Ken Agyapong aside, the NPP executives and members have made it a a habit of insulting anyone, including their own members, who holds opposing views. The Party is so "tolerance-phobic" that it has killed one Party Chairman and an MP. Additionally, the elected National Chairman and the General Secretary have been expelled from the Party on bogus allegations and suspicions which to date haven't been proved. One needs to visit the print and electronic media fora for discussing the Ghana's problems and suggested solutions to gauge the enormity of nastiness of what I'm saying.
NPP's attitude towards Ghanaians of non-Asante and non-Akyem extraction has been disgusting at best and downright insulting at worst. Baby boomers who're not students of History are shocked and the millennials are confused. But they needn't be. Violence against and disrespect for other Ghanaians and political opponents were built into the Party's predecessors that it claims to draw inspiration from.
Among the first order of business when Kuffour assumed the presidency in 2000 was to gift a World Bank loan of $35m to the Asantehene and the Okyehene. This loan was sourced by the outgoing NDC administration for the development of 33 Traditional areas.I know most Ghanaians weren't and aren't still aware of this crime because it was done secretly. However some of us became aware of and verified it from the World Bank website. It was a loan and not a grant as the NPP supporters tried to save face by lying about it as they always do. Even if it were a grant, why should only these two chiefs enjoy? If this revelation doesn't outrage the rest of the Chiefs in Ghana and their subjects, they should go ahead and vote for the NPP. Do you now see one of the reasons why the NPP regards the rest of Ghanaians as fools? While both chiefs have quiet about this gift over the years, the Asantehene has displayed maturity and statesmanship and stayed above political frays and for which the NPP doesn't like him. However, the Okyehene has most often strayed into politics in support of his nephew, Akuffo-Addo. The money involved has now become part of the national debt. Meanwhile when Mahama gave Regional Houses of Chiefs vehicles to facilitate their work, NPP said, they were bribes. I'm still waiting for them to categorize the gifts given to only the Asantehene and his subchiefs by Akuffo-Addo's wife. This is is another clear-cut example of the disdain the NPP has for the rest of the chiefs in Ghana.
In 2005, the then National Chairman of the NPP Mr. Haruna Esseku, a native of Senya Bereku in the Central Region, was ostracized from the party and prevented from again contesting the chairmanship of the NPP in 2006 because he had rightfully accused Kuffour of making his work difficult by him Kuffour personally collecting funds albeit bribes, and disbursing it for the party's operations. It is interesting to note that the NPP used another corrupt Fante and hulk of a man, Isaac Edumadze, then Central Regional Minister to physically ensure Esseku didn't leave the house that day for the Congress. The Asantes had a field day and went ahead and elected Mac Manu, an Asante. There is no way the Asantes and/or the Akyems would've entertained this shabby treatment from the Fantes or any of the other tribes in the Party. Yet we still have Fantes still in the Party. The insults the Party has been raining on Dr. Arthur Kennedy for his constructive criticisms are not accidental. The expulsion of the elected national chairman "Pepeni" Afoko in 2016 on mere unproven allegations, shouldn't be surprising. It is now obvious the party's Asante and Akyem kingmakers wouldn't have allowed the election of the late Ga "Jake" Obetsebi Lamptey as the National Chairman were it not for his much-needed Public Relations expertise. Jake was dropped like a hot potato after he had served the kingmakers’ purpose. He died broken, literally penniless and squatting in a government bungalow which was "loaned" to him by the NDC courtesy of Jerry Rawlings. Contrast this with the still opulence lifestyles of Kan-Dapaah, Owusu Hackman, Wereko-Brobbey, Osafo-Marfo, Kwadjo Mpiani, Kuffour and his nuclear family, Addo-Kuffour, Kennedy Agyapong (an Assin and therefore more or less an Asante) and the rest. . . and Paul Afoko's recent ouster. What do their tribes and relations tell fellow Ghanaians?
KUFFOUR AND NPP GAVE TWO ASANTES MORE SHARES PER PERSON IN JUBILEE OILFIELD THAN THE WHOLE OF GHANA COMBINED!
While 27 million Ghanaians had to make do with only 13.6% stake in the Jubilee field, two NPP top shots, George Owusu and the Ambassador Dr. Edusei both Asantes, were given 3% shares which amounts to a colossal US$300 million about ten years ago. Kuffour’s deviousness and wickedness have made two tribesmen very rich for life and beyond at the expense of the country. It is pertinent to note that in one of the Wikileaks cables, then President Kufour was quoted as having told a US senator that his interests in Ghana’s oil were being coordinated by Mr Kwabena Darko of Darko Farms. When investigations were carried out into the EO group’s affairs by Ghanaian authorities, it emerged that their company address was the same as the address of Darko Farms!
The explanations given for how EO group came to own such a significant stake in the Jubilee field do not wash. We are told that they found KOSMOS and brought them in to discover oil for Ghana. It is strange that GNPC which was formed in 1983 and which has all the expertise one can think of in the oil industry could not find a partner to discover oil but it took a two-man company with no experience or track record in the oil industry to find a partner for us.
Even stranger is the fact that the EO group was allowed to be part of the joint operating agreement signed among the partners in the jubilee field when they do not meet the basic requirements to be part of such a venture. First they had no track record of having been part of such a venture in the past neither did they possess the financial capacity to make good their part of the cash calls which were necessary for the operation of the jubilee field. As it turned out they were carried out by Kosmos and seeing that KOSMOS was no Father Christmas, the conclusion that can be drawn is that the EO group shares were made a conditionality for giving KOSMOS the exploration license. Granted the whole agreement was corrupt and not fair to the people of Ghana, couldn't Kuffour have found Ghanaians from other tribes to join Owusu and Edusei? Edusei has used an infinitesimal part of his loot to establish a tax-free (again!) Foundation which "gives” to charity to fool Ghanaians. Kennedy Agyapong, that blabbermouth of a fool, an NPP hatchet-man and beneficiary of Kuffour's largess regularly goes on the radio and rains insults on more decent Ghanaians while telling Ghanaians who would listen that the NDC is a wicked Party. Ghanaians, do the calculation and wake up! To add insult to injury, "Floyd Mayweather"(For his unparalleled legal mind) Tsatsu Tsikata, who oil agencies all over the world credit with nurturing the nation's oil potential to the stage where Kuffour simply maneuvered to cheat the nation and enrich his cronies for life, was jailed by a Kuffour-appointed judge under Kuffour's administration for allegedly "wilfully causing financial loss to the State" when the prosecution couldn't establish "criminal intent". He walked away from his hospital bed when Kuffour lost the 2008 elections and the prison guards "deserted" him--convinced that he had unjustly been incarcerated. Tsatsu had rejected a presidential pardon and chosen to fight legally for exoneration. He achieved the aim only last month. What a man!
NPP has never been worker-friendly as their surrogates who organised last year's labor unrests would have Ghanaians believe. For example, when Kuffour and his cronies like Dr. Anane dismantled Ghana Airways, they weren't interested in saving jobs or saving money for the country. They were only interested in acquiring the assets of the airline at ridiculously low prices. And they did. They sold the airline's assets including building plots and houses at "Dongormi' to NPP functionaries including Ursulla Owusu that loud and foul-mouthed NPP MP and long-time paramour of Akuffo-Addo. In fact the list of the beneficiaries looks like Who is Who among the "movers and shakers" within the Party: 99.9% Asantes and Akims This is one OF THE MANY EXAMPLES KUFFOUR AND NPP SHOWED IT DIDN'T CARE ABOUT (OTHER) GHANAIANS and GHANA. Almost the same group of people bought the government lands sold cheaply by Kuffour and NPP. Incidentally they're the same people who claim NDC is insensitive to the plight of Ghanaians. Contrast this with the cacophony NPP created over President Mahama's Ford gift which he even gave away. Yes, other Ghanaians are stupid according to the NPP because they can’t even smell con men 12 inches away!
YES, KUFFOUR AND NPP DIDN'T CARE ABOUT GHANA AND GHANAIAN WORKERS AS LONG AS THE ASANTES AND AKYEMS SURROUNDING HIM MADE MONEY. In 2006, the NPP administration allotted a whopping sum of $75m for Ghana@Fifty Secretariat established to plan and organize the Anniversary celebrations. Guess who were appointed the Executives of the Secretariat? It was Kwadjo Mpiani, Kuffour’s Secretary and his brother in-law, Wereko-Brobbey, who had earlier caused a financial loss of about $1.4b as the CEO of the VRA! Was it any surprise that both men couldn't account for a major portion of the amount allocated? To show how insensitive Kuffour and the NPP were to the plight of workers, the cloth and clothes for the occasion were ordered from China at a time when Akosombo Textiles, Juapong Textiles and Ghana Textiles Printing were laying-off workers.
During the same Ghana@Fifty celebrations, Kuffour's office guaranteed about $10 million for Stephen Sekyere-Abankwa MD, Prudential Bank and Kuffour's fellow Asante whom Kuffour had also appointed as the Board Chairman of the GNPC (With Moses Boateng also as the MD of the GNPC, a Kuffour-appointee, do you now see the reason why COSMOS was allowed to do what GNPC should've done?) and his partners to secure a loan facility from the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) to construct residential accommodation. As at the time of writing this piece, Mr. Abankwa and his group have still not been able to pay up the loan they took from workers’ pension contribution. Interest on the loan has reached about GhC4b. WORKERS OF GHANA, THIS IS ONE PIECE OF S* IT YOU SHOULD'VE BEEN DEMONSTRATING AGAINST! CASELY-HAYFORD, WHERE IS YOUR "OCCUPY GHANA MOVEMENT"?. THIS SHOULD TELL GHANAIANS. YOU'RE IN BED WITH THE NPP. YOUR BEHAVIOR IS ONE OF THE REASONS WHY THE ASANTES DON'T RESPECT THE FANTES.
The NPP punished areas that didn't vote for it in 2000 and 2004 by even stalling local projects that had been started by the NDC. The NDC under Mahama has undertaken an unprecedented infrastructure development all over Ghana including even places that didn't vote NDC. The Ashanti Region has been one of the biggest beneficiaries. Even Kuffour couldn't do that much.
The argument that the NDC administration has spent more money than the last NPP administration but has had very little to show for doesn't wash. Commodity prices on the world market have fallen on the average of almost 30% since 2011. Revenue from exports has fallen. Ghana therefore has had to borrow more to meet its international financial obligations, most of which were suspended during Kuffour's tenure, and for development.
In my next article, I'll explain why Kuffour's misguided economic policies including the bloated value of the cedi paved the way for the difficult economic situation the country is trying to emerge from. I'll also write about some of the instances of the corruption of epic proportions under the last NPP administration.
Fellow “other" Ghanaians, the NPP claims to be national. However, its attitude towards Ghanaians of non- Asante and non-Akyem extraction as shown by even the few examples I've given, shows the Party regards other Ghanaians as a means to an end. The claim that Akuffo-Addo shouldn't be held accountable because he wasn't the leader when the Party was in power, is lame. He was part of the leadership and if coming events cast their shadows, it could be worse in his administration. So go out and vote massively AGAINST DIVISIVENESS . . .AGAINST INTOLERANCE . . . AGAINST BIGOTRY . . AGAINST NEPOTISM . . .AGAINST CRONYISM . . .VOTE FOR PEACE, UNITY AND DEVELOPMENT . . .REJECT NPP . .VOTE FOR NDC!

Hello, mr. journalist, tell me what he has said that explicitly calls northerners fools? i think you are the most illiterate journalist in Ghana or the most evil journalist that can saw seed of discord in the nation. You think you are discrediting the president, but this is a seed of conflict and war and blood shed. Can you quote what he said clearly? you are a nation wrecker, just because you want your party to win and you would amass wealth for yourself, tilt development to the area where you come from only. This is evil; you can discredit the president in a very genuine way without raising issues like this. Should you not be the very person to advocate for fair development of the nation's resources? Are you saying that if some one from Nzema should win he should not see to the other regions. Development should be fair distribution, but not based on the president is from there; this is 'illiterate illiteracy'.You should be banned from writing, and putting anything forward. You are someone who can incite people to shed blood. We should not be tilted when presenting national issues like this. You are not a peaceful person; i can see the ulterior motive in your writing and greedy desire. Am not against you tell people what is wrong, hut you have just written something you have made up by yourself. Where did he say that;put on your critical thinking cap and read what you have written, and it would expose the folly, and danger in your writing. No party has the destiny of Ghana at heart;when we voted the opposition to power, they did worse than the party that they took over from; the current party is not done better but lets be truthful, and not incite tribal sentiments and blood shed. Wake up your patriotic enthusiasm, and kill tribal sentiments;the late Gen. Acheampong told us; one nation, one people one destiny....brotherhood. Lets grow in peace as brothers.
