The players are professionals so U don't expect them to play for free. most of them retire at age 30-35 so they need to make hay while the sun shines.

If Grant qualifies Ghana to the wc, we will keep him but if he dosent and especially with Egypt game concerned he will be fired. Simple and that is it.

Grant needs to make Tetteh a starter somehow. He is scoring goals. In addition, he needs to make sure that Assifuah and Boakye-Yiadom are regulars. This team just cannot score. Take chances with some strikers.

Ghanaians must face the music: this Ghana Black Stars team that we have is a downgraded version of our previous teams, -- that qualified for three WC tournaments.
To put it simply, this team under coach Grant is a watered-down version of the teams that played under coach Appiah, and the two Serbian coaches.
It's very surprising, and also disappointing; given the fact that Ghana has more players around the world today than ever before. This should make scouting and player selection much easier.
What then, can we attribute this sub-standard, shortage of cohesiveness, and lack of attractiveness to?
This is not a question for only the football enthusiast in Ghana to grapple with. I believe it is also a question for the politicians to grapple with as well.
In my humble opinion, I think we are suffering from the 'inability to let go of the past' syndrome. In other words: when we achieve a feat in the past but keep pointing at that feat even when a new a day, with new set of challenges is dawning.
I have no problem with coach Grant.
I think he is a fine man. My problem lies with his judgment. He inherited a team that was not lacking in performance, -- but rather character. Anybody who has been around the inner circles of football knows first hand that, players don't take their demands lightly. They expect their demands to be met. I also did that, when I played colts football in Ghana as a kid. Nobody ejected me from the team, -- Accra All Yankees -- for bad behavior. As a coach it is this same approach that, I would take with the demands and character of my players.
I was surprise coach Grant did not exert enough pressure on his management to bring back the veterans. He was satisfied with not having any strong characters around. He chose the easy way out. He chose to settle on players, -- who are not yet ripe for prime time; at the expense of players like Muntari. It made me wonder if he ever watched films of the previous performances of the Ghana Black Stars under his predecessors, -- before he took the job. His job would have been much easier had he done that. He would have learnt from those films that, most of the players he has in his first team are not yet matured for the job. They need the veterans to groom them.
It is the height of stupidity for a coach to take a good performing team with a few character issues, cast out the veterans, start afresh with a bunch mediocrities, and hope to be successful. It never works that way: Dungar tried it in Brazil, and lost his job to failure. On the other hand, the Portugal coach who successfully integrated the veterans, and the up-and-coming players won the European Cup in France.
Is Mr. Grant, and his bosses really following the success and failures of coaches in tournaments around the globe?
How are they extrapolating that to the failure of the Ghana Black Stars?
I don't think they are.
Mr Nyantakyi is happier as the first African to sit on the board of FIFA, than see the Ghana national team win a tournament. He is so naive to understand that, this empty positions come with a price. The country Ghana is too important to be used as a sacrificial lamb. I'm happy for Mr. Nyantekyi, but I also believe that Ghana deserves a full-time GFA president to devote total attention to the problems of the Ghana Black Stars. Mr. Grant has failed to demonstrate that, he is devoted to the success of the Ghana Black Stars.
By the way: whose idea is it to have the color 'Black' in the uniform of the national team. The color black is a bad omen: it absorbs everything, -- including the bad intentions that our foes may have against us.
If in doubt: why don't they go back and revisit the culture of the Ghana Black Stars in the glory days?
May Lord Almighty continue to bless our beloved Great Ghana: Amen!!!

I don't remember any Ghanaian team winning in Egypt. The last time we tied was when Hearts drew with Arab Contractors in 1982 Kotoko drawing twice with Ismailia twice in the late 60s

These arrogant utterances have affected our performance lately. It was so with the US in the 2014 world cup. You remember what happened? Know that the others aren't sleeping either. Stop these nonsense and get serious
