The fewer subjects would target best outcome and quality from kids.Rather lots of subject ending up with weaker grades for the job market.

The blame game as usual. My three boys, all had aggregate 6 with the said number of subjects and are in various Universities now. I can understand where you are coming from. Even if they are singled out to write 3, they will still fail. They prefered to sell dog chain to education. What did you do when you were there? You have been in power for eight good years. When did it occure to you that such number of subjects are a burden to the kids? All you people were interesting in, was to change the durations without adequate infrastructural in place. Please, spare us the noise.

The only people who advocate for "GHANAIAN LANGUAGES" in schools are almost always low self-esteem Twi speaking Akans. I would have thought that it would be ideal to teach or introduce all the basic Ghanaian languages into our social systems, but the truth is the overwhelming Twi speaking Ghanaians feel a sense of importance by shying away from inclusiveness. Freaking hypocrites. This feel good attitude is probably our greatest demise in educating our children of today. Apart from socializing Twi, Ga or Ewe has nothing extraordinarily intellectual to offer anyone. We simply need to have our kids focus on Math, Science & Technology, and English. All other subject matters such as sociology, psychology, history, literature, the arts should be secondary but still introduced at all levels.
Many Ghanaians are making financial sacrifices to educated their children within Ghana but out the main stream. Thus creating an immense class divide. We only need to narrow it, and all will be well. But it seems like the traditionalist who have options always want to force backwardness on the gullible citizens.

Don't you know children benefit when they are allowed to reason within their own local languages? So if you teach people linguistics of their own language they will be failures? aaah!

Interesting times, isn't it. Sometimes i ask myself, what does this man want at all? Upon a second thought i realized he's broke and would therefore want to make all the noise to attract attention. I'm saying so because during his time as the GES capo, pupils wrote a minimum of nine subjects. What moral rights has this man got to complain about pupils who are writing a maximum of nine subjects? or is he trying to say he only recently got to know the nine subjects are too many? Shame on you Michael Nsowah.

Sm ppl over here comment anyhow. Do u really think or better put critically analyze before u pass comments? GES Bosses do not have so much power and so do not get Mr. Nsowah wrong. They only propose because they are there to supervise in which whatever they see they put it across to the Ministry of Education. Did u read where he said they made a proposal which led to the committee that was formed to analyze whether the yrs of schooling time was enough for basic schools? Do not read headlines and jump to critize cos u will end up goofing.
