NDC would do anything to rig elections and remain in power fraudulently. This has been their practice since Rawlings time, and he himself displayed crocodile tears as a result of the electoral violence blamed on NDC. Clearly, this is the precursor of the nature of the 2016 elections that Mr. Mahama hinted about. We now know it is going be fought with AK47s, pistols, daggers, axes, matches, bribery and intimidation. And I advise our people to be more resolute in defending democracy in Ghana. Without free and fair elections, we can easily find ourselves again in a one party state like the one we suffered from under Kwame Nkrumah.

NDC is a useless party. Ihave enclosed three discussions which are not related to this topic but important for readers.
MONTIE 3 AND OTHER MATTERS
I have been absent from the platform because I feel disappointed with the campaign team of the NPP flag bearer. My request for an email address through which I can discuss certain critical matters to winning the upcoming elections have been ignored. A soldier in the battle field does not make his moves known to his opponent. This attitude of making everything public before it is executed has caused the flag bearer in the past but it appears the handlers have not learnt from it. I have earlier sought for inclusion in the active campaign process but that was also ignored. I want to ask the team to analyze the previous voting results and to ask themselves what is the sophistication of the voters where the President won. Some of the messages from the NDC cannot pass any test if the audience is the sophisticated and enlightened class. The NPP in my view need people cut in the class of the less sophisticated group to drum down their messages deep. I consider myself cut in that state because I was born and bred in Nima and believe I understand the psyche of these people. The NPP should not assume every voter understands the issues like the way they do. Our society is largely unsophisticated and depending on your audience, the message is designed and delivered in the appropriate manner.
What I am about to talk is one of things I would have done through my emails. The President is engaged in plagiarizing, the same thing the NPP has been avoiding; that is telling one of the Central Region inhabitants he will establish orange factory. The existence of orange in this locality is not new and this Government has been in charge for eight years nut never saw the need to do this. I want the NPP to go into the archives to pull out some of the promises they promised in 2012 for a strong debate between e and them. I will single handedly do this and the whole of Ghana will understand what I have said my capability is.
My Costing lecturer once said that if one is taking a decision based on cost it is important to identify the cost constituents and the constituent which is not common to the items are those you analyze to arrive at your decision.I will therefore be very much disappointed to have any other electoral result than a victory for Nana Addo. Those who are close to him should tell him to read this concern I am putting on this platform today.
I have said before that I am not a card bearing member of the NPP but I am supporting the presidential bid of Nana because the current administration has failed the country and does not deserve to lead us to destruction. There is a brighter opportunity of the flag bearer to win the elections but the handlers will have to work hard at it, keep pressing on the accelerator till the final day. With this background, I will not take it kindly if the ultimate objective of the flag bearer is not met with the support of the team due to their actions and inactions. The bad policies of the this government have caused us to be unemployed so their reward is to send them to opposition.
Certain matters have been discussed in the past in the media but I hold superior positions on them which I will like to share with the people of Ghana. But before I do that let communicators of the NPP go out there to hammer the point very strongly and consistently that the NDC has administered the country for eight years which has been the practice and that they don’t deserve anymore. They knew late Professor Mills will lose the 2012 elections so they assassinated him to allow his Vice then to take over the mantle. This point should be sounded very strongly to the hearing of every voter in the country. If the NPP and its communicators fail to do this sacred assignment, they will blame themselves after the elections have been finally called. Very soon the NDC will go out to misinform voters that every president dating from former President Rawlings has been given eight years of administration through to Kufuor. The Constitution does not make it a guarantee but it is left to the people to decide.
The country has chalked 24 years since returning to Constitutional Democracy out of which the NDC has administered for 16 years, plunging the country into so much debt in addition to oil proceeds available to them. The NPP on the other hand has been in charge for just 8 years without oil proceeds. The level of debt before President Kufuor, qualified the country as HIPC but his administration introduced many social interventions to relieve the poor in particular. It is time for Ghanaians once more to choose better living conditions for themselves by voting Nana Addo as President.
I had prepared a position to share on the Montie 3 before the remission which I have alreadyreleased. It was titled ‘’THE NDC SHOULD NOT DESTABILIZE THE STATE FOR US.’’ This will be my position after the remission. The sentencing by Judges is usually based on the gravity of the offence committed by a guilty person. Persons found guilty and sentenced by the Courts can be remorseful subsequently by the way they conduct themselves. In essence the sentencing is not to destroy the guilty person but rather to reform him. The framers of the 1992 Constitution knowing Judges will always apply the rule, made this provision for the President to be able to pardon those persons who are sentenced and have become remorseful. It is not a provision to be used for the benefit of friends and party loyalists as we have seen in the Montie 3. Whatever remorse shown by these three people was not genuine but rehearsed and for that matter do not deserve the pardon granted them. The pardon granted by the President will live after him and will cause the party despite the justification party people will try to provide. I am using this platform to call on all floating voters to show their disapproval by voting against the NDC in the upcoming elections. The sanctity of the country should be safeguarded by those of us who claim to be neutral.
My second subject is about the military uniform worn by the President when he visited the military camp about a month ago. The Framers of the 1992 Constitution have included as part of our laws the Decrees including the NRCD. Where it is mentioned in the NRCD that no person shall wear military uniform except a military person includes the President as well. If the framers wanted to exclude the president they should have stated that in the Constitution. Those who think the President has not erred by wearing military uniform can only take solace in Article 11(6) and the fact that he is the Commander-In-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces which was the point stated by the majority of the people who spoke on the matter. In my view the Commander-In-Chief position of the President is just advisory in the sense that the Ghana Armed Forces can go to war or commit the country only after seeking the final approval from him. The President cannot lead any battalion to war because he has not been trained to do that. Even any former military person, say Warrant Officer who has resigned from the army to contest an election for president and won cannot lead a battalion to war because he may not have the expertise to do that. I would have loved to test the law and to argue out the case in the courts but whatever I say here will not be understood by many. We don’t think outside the box most of the times so we are quick to say the ordinary in all matters which have come up for public discussion.
The third issue which has been very dear to me because of its effect on the elections is about the cleaning of the electoral register. I believe very strongly that the way the NHIS matter was adjudicated has not fully resolved the matter of providing a level playing field for the elections. I listened to the Chairperson of the EC on Good Evening Ghana and she said something very interesting to a question posed by the host. She said the NHIS registration has some characteristic which was used to identify those who used it to register but she did not state the characteristic. According to her, their offices all over the country depended on this to manually separate those cards. Couldn’t there be errors in doing this and what will that margin be? Even though the Supreme Court said further names should be deleted if found who will find these names because the cards are with the EC. It is not possible the EC will engage itself to further pull out more cards if they are available. In the process some people have said they did not register using the NHIS card which could be true. On the flip side one can argue these people might have forgotten the card used. In a situation like this who might be telling the truth. I think the voters register as it exists now still has some unwanted materials in it.
There have been calls from many quarters that Ghana wants a peaceful election which is a call in the right direction. The only guarantee to a peaceful election is transparency. We should be rather calling for transparency in the elections. When there is transparency, no loser will engage in anything untoward.
The reforms being proposed or agreed by the stakeholders is important but I thought without agreeing to validation, the principle of ‘’no verification no vote’’ should have been maintained. The validation many of us sought was to assure everybody that people who are on the register really qualify to vote per the Constitution. The manual identification is a relatively difficult process compared to a biometric identification. The appearance of people change over time and not everybody has the skill to correctly identify manually using the photo. Are we not making impersonation cheaper to commit than ever before? The manual verification should have been the exception but it is now going to be the norm which I think is not helpful. I was surprised the NPP agreed to the manual verification as if they did not think through this proposal properly. This method of identification is going to generate misunderstandings than the biometric identification at the polling stations.
The use of professionals as polling officers is the best. I think Nigeria adopted the same process listening to Professor Jega. The NDC Parliamentarian, HonourableTettehChaie should vacate his seat in parliament for one of those illiterates in his constituencies to take over since he thinks it is not useful to use professionals and relatively enlightened persons to man the polling stations. This is a hypocritical statement coming from a member of parliament. In everything there are advantages and disadvantages but because there are disadvantages the thing is not done. One has to weigh the two to determine which is superior. The chemical drugs we take have disadvantages but we continue to take them.
There is a development which I consider very dangerous to our political discourse and if not checked can derail peace in the country. And it is personal attacks on political opponents. The unfortunate side of this development is the personalities involved. Of late President Mahama has been heard launching personal attacks on Nana Addo on comments he might have made during his campaign. The comments by Nana are not attacks on the person of the President but on things the President claims they have done. I don’t know whether his party people have advised him to do this. Even if it so I expect him as a statesman to be circumspect. This has deflated the perception that he is a gentleman. It was Plato, the great Philosopher, who said that you will appreciate the true worth of a person when he is placed on an unfamiliar ground. It was God who created all of us and He made us not the same. The size of Nana was the handy work of the Almighty God. God has endowed everybody and in doing this He did not seek permission from anybody. The reference to the height of Nana is actually an indictment on the creator. The truth is when evil people rule a country, the people of that country go through hardships as we are witnessing.
Even though God promised the Israelites of a land flowing with ‘’milk and honey’’ they still have to go to wars with these people before they can take possession. Life is about fight and I like the spirit of Nana Addo despite the odds are against him.
My advice on this occasion is that the political campaign should be issue based instead of the personal attacks. Those who claim to know and qualified to hold the sovereignty of the people should prove their worth by what they can do for the people. Often times politicians play on trivialities, things which don’t bring about material transformations in the well being of the people. Sadly we the people absorb these things indiscriminately which is an indication of ignorance on our part. But I thank God for given some of us the ability to analyze the issues and to provide perspectives which make the understanding very simple to the ordinary person.

EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE IF THE WILL IS THERE
Motivational speakers and writers and the Lord Jesus Christ has told us everything is possible if there is faith. With this background, I will produce an extensive quote from a paper about the US president, Ronald Reagan titled ‘’On Course’’. ‘’Most American Presidents since World War II, whether Republican or Democratic, had tended to move slowly, to propose changes relatively modest in scope. Reagan and his advisers discarded that approach. His initial economic program announced in February 1981 was sweeping by American standards. Some commentators and political opponents predicted that his ideas would get nowhere because Congress was reluctant to make changes either taxing or spending patterns. Even some of the President’s allies urged caution. President Reagan on such occasions replied that he had been elected to act boldly, not timidly. He asked: ‘’If not now, when? If not us, who?’’
It can be recalled that President Mahama was referred to as incompetent by communicators of the NPP and he was visibly not happy of that description in the recent past. One could notice that he was offended by that and he has publicly commented on it. This word was used in reference to the way the country has been administered. One did not hear any attack on his person. Unfortunately the attacks from NDC communicators including President Mahama himself on Nana Addo have been on his person. The President has always been referred to as a gentleman and peaceful but his recent comments have defeated this assertion. The great Philosopher, Plato said a man’s true worth will be known when he is put on unfamiliar ground.
The whole country has been calling for peaceful elections but attitudes of this nature can deny us the peace we have been calling for. If both sides decide to go the way NDC communicators are going, tensions will rise higher and it could degenerate. What I find with the NDC is that they seem to be hurt by the messages of the NPP flag bearer and the only way they can put the breaks is to attack his person. But I wish to use this opportunity to encourage the flag bearer to press on with his messages of hope. The NDC should rather use the time to attack his message than his person because Ghanaians are discerning.
Basic Economics says our wants are more than our resources so one is called upon to make choices hence the Scale of Preference. The choices made by the NDC during their 8 years of administration has only resulted in high interest rates, high inflation rate, high exchange rate, low GDP and many other low key economic variables. They should not expect a person expecting to administer the country better to also go the same path. The NPP flag bearer wants to create avenues for job by ‘’one district, one factory’’ slogan and irrigation dam for every village to anchor job creation. This is the choice the flag bearer is making and NDC are alarmed. Is it not feasible? I believe if the Wright brothers were to be Ghanaians they wouldn’t have manufactured air planes. This is the emphasis of the flag bearer. The NDC had a different emphasis and the result is there for all of us to see. The proposals of the flag bearer are achievable if the level of corruption in government and the public sector can be curtailed and the efficient use of the resources including borrowings.
There are many who think the current arrangement with the IMF cannot make the Government spend recklessly as was in 2012. It is a lie. Government can borrow through unofficial arrangement to engage in the reckless spending seen in 2012. This will not reflect in the books but it will have to be paid from the tax payer’s purse when they are retained in power. They can also divert resources from the specific sources in the budget to areas which were not even in the budget for the sake of the elections. This will come to light only during the audit of the accounts. The President and the Government are really desperate to win the election so they can do anything at all to achieve this.
The monies being spent on the freebies are coming from where? Are they part of the corruption monies or are from our taxes? In 2012 prior to the elections President Mahama and the NDC were engaged in reckless spending among which are the freebies and which has been the foundation of the pain and suffering the country has been going through as of today. There are several outstanding arrears to sections of the public sector and some statutory payments. For the sake of power we are still engage in the same practice damn the consequence. Is it not time Ghanaians tell the ruling party and the Government that we matter than your appetite for power? The freebies ended after the election, that is for four years. The citizenry has been left to go through excruciating suffering then just before elections the freebies have started flowing again. The principle of Good Governance means nothing to this people. Playing on the ignorance of the people and the illiterate class in the society. This the reason I still maintain that the NDC is comfortable dealing with the less informed in our society and I will never belong to such a group like this and will continue to pitch against them. The truth is the NDC will be irrelevant the day this society become enlightened so it is their wish the society continue to remain less informed
If the presidency is just about borrowing and taxing the people heavily to provide infrastructure, Ghana can elect an SSS graduate to occupy the seat. These two things are not difficult to do at all.
