Taking politics out, I wish also to indicate that the police has lost all respect due to the way they operates. They are not honest, credible enough in anything that they do.
I believe that they need to look at the way they deal with the public.

If the police personnel are not adequate, then they should recruit more . Those guys must be drunk and officers should not approach a group alone especially when they are on drugs or drunk. When I came to Ghana, I realized that the personnel are not well trained to handle group. The police themselves get panic and nervous and end up arguing with the public rather than calming down.

They are recruited from the same area's as the culprits and if you ask why they are doing some things they are not supposed to do, they shout, insult and lie themselves. some weeks ago I tried to talk some sanity into one of them whilst he pointed at his pistol telling me "you, you don't know what I can do to you". after reporting this obvious threat both officers who witnessed everything swore in-front of their Superior officer that they hadn't seen anything.
