Did he expect Supreme Court to rule on similar cases? The supreme court is final court in the land so this decision by Mahama has done too much harm than good. Is a shame to see our country falling apart.

Presidents Mahama, Obama and Putin gave remission to people in their countries prison this year. It looks like it is only Ghanaians who are reasonable to question their president over what other presidents did all over the world. The same thing was done in Columbia by that country's president. It is rather a case of Ghanaians been wicked people and not loving each other.

The 2012 presidential election was decided by fewer than 50,000 votes. This was statistically close against the backdrop of the sympathy vote for JDM and the NDC due to the passing of Prof. Mills. The 2016 elections will certainly go into a runnoff. There is a lot of voter fury and resentment towards the current socioeconomic hardship in Ghana AND THE VOTERS WILL GET TO VENT THEIR SPLEEN AT THE VOTING BOOTH. There are a lot of independent voters out there who seriously analyse issues and will be appalled by the freeing of the Montie 3. I THINK JDM HAS SHOT HIMSELF IN HIS ELECTORAL FOOT.He should have shoved the 3 under the bus like Obama did to his pastor Jeremiah Wright when he made controversial comments.

January 7, 2009, Outgoing President John Agyekum Kufuor has pardoned over 500 prisoners of various categories with immediate effect, a statement signed by Mr Frank Agyekum, Outgoing Deputy Minister of Information, said on Tuesday
President Kufuor pardons 1410 prisoners. President John Agyekum Kufuor has ordered the release of 1,410 prisoners, who are deemed not to be a threat to society.
The president's grant of amnesty to these prisoners comes as a sign of mercy and goodwill, in accordance with the July 1 commemoration of Republic Day. The authority for such action lies in Article 72 of the Constitution of the Republic of Ghana.

This is just a show-man ship between the powers of the Executive and Judiciary .
That is the issue at stake.
The question should the Executive be allowed to undermine the Rule of Law just for political interests?
Without doubt , this is not an issue between the NPP and Mahama or NDC JJ Rawlings' party.
It is the Executive disregard for the Rule of Law.
Therefore that ignorant Kofi Adams must shut his big mouth up, since he knows nothing about the division between the Judicial Role and Powers and Executive adherence to the Rule of Law , when carrying out the Administrative duties against the backdrop of political interests.
Without doubt, the 3 Mounties saga is laughable and infantile.
Mahama and the so called Council of State have made themselves a laughing stock.
They are political animals as oppose to guaranteeing check and balances of the Rule of Law.
They are wrecking Ghana's Democracy.

Sulemana Braimah is not a Ga nor an Ewe, so it sounds logic in his mind that there is wrong in the release of the montie 3. It is because Suleman and others of single mindedness failed to consider the comments by the montie 3 in a broader scope.
The judiciary in Ghana had taken the nation for a ride for so long that there is nobody to intervene to warn them of their usual injustice that come out from bribery and corruption. It was their injustice they showed against Amartey Kwei and the strike workers of GIHOC that led to their death in the hands of Amartey Kwei who felt cheated by the judges that sat on their case in which they were sacked from GIHOC.
Do you think many Gas were happy with the way Amartey Kwei and others were sacked from GIHOC after their normal strike? Do not forget also that two of the montie guys are GAS who were clearly aware of the injustice meted to Amartey Kwei and others at that time, so their warning of the judiciary is to call their attention to sit well so that they will not give room for injustice in order that in the future there would be no question levelled against their judgement.
Do you think the montie 3 are foreigners so they do not have the right to question and warn the known bribery and corrupt judiciary? They ought to be compensated for being bold to stand against the disgraced judiciary who were found swimming in corruption and bribery, and had been cheating the public all along with their unjust judgements.
Braimah, you are village inclined that is why you do not think properly. What did ANAS exposed about the judiciary? Who and which organisation came out to join the judiciary in their investigations over the culprits, and how even the case ended nobody wanted to know. Yes bcos the judiciary had been foolishly given the room to cheat the citizens with authority left in their hands unchecked.
When Kennedy Agyapong asked the Ashantis to kill the GAS and the EWES, you Suleman of primitive and tribal bigotry never came out to file any suit against that village man king of the NPP Agyapong but today with your foolish and low mentality you master courage to find fault of the release of the montie 3. Did the montie 3 killed or robbed Ghana like Woyome robbed and the judiciary helped him to be free.
Where was your organisation when it was discoverd that Woyome transfered 400 million cedis into the accounts of the wife of the chief prosecutor Nerquaye Tetteh who prosecuted Woyome in the beginning of the case? You and others of this similar primitive comments are sick with your political and tribal sentiments of.......

Ghananaians must sincerely thank His Excellency, John Dramani Mahama for saving Democracy in Ghana.
Let us look at the dynamics of the case:
Let us look at the Judiciary:
1. A case starts from the High Court – Guilty
2. The case proceeds to Court of Appeal – Guilty Verdict upheld
3. Case proceeds to The Supreme Court – Guilty Verdict reversed and accused person acquitted.
Technically speaking, the two learned Judges in the two lower Courts erred in Law hence their decisions now rescinded. Judges do make mistakes.
Just then imagine, Judges are the final word in this world of ours called Ghana. At the final hurdle, the innocent parties are now Guilty says THE SUPREME COURT. It will hurt and one will wish there is another level to travel. In the West, here comes European Court and International Court of Justice and on and on the case travels until all are left penniless.
This is the case again:
1. BNI refused to make arrests
2. Attorney General refused to prosecute
3. Supreme Court ordered arrests
4. Prosecuted by themselves within the powers conferred on them by the Constitution of Ghana – Guilty Verdict and sentenced (all by themselves)
5. Amnesty International says Grant Pardon
6. The Council of State says Grant them Pardon.
7. Several signed Petitions including Ministers of State to grant pardon.
Some ill-formed are so narrow minded that their thoughts simply go to the young men who have received all sorts of tags.
In medieval times any psycho who is brave enough to call the King (President) derogatory name loses his/her head and its presented to the King on a silver platter. That is draconian law – prosecutor, jury and judge (The King). It does not matter what sin an individual has committed against a President of the Land, seizing them and punishing them is deemed tyranny or brutality. There have been insults hurled at the Council of State. There have been insults hurled against His Excellency The President which all in medieval times carry heavy punishments. If a son or daughter insults his mother or father publicly unless there are no council of elders in the land, they will not go scot free. Ghana’s Democracy inherited from the West allows for all these against the President who is the Father of the Nation with no punitive measures of any description. Just imagine how enormous this power that is invested in an institution which by their own creed are heavily flawed to the hilt without redress of any kind. Any decision varied or reversed by the Supreme Court from the Lower courts highlights the danger of investing absolute power in one arm of the Judiciary.
The Constitution enjoins the President to consult the Council of State which he did. Where did he go wrong our countrymen? How did he undermine the JUDICIARY IN THIS CASE AS WELL?
IS THE CONSTITUTION OF GHANA LAWLESS?
This saga coincided with a cancelled visit of His Excellency Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe to Ghana. Perhaps it was not just a coincidence because a threat “to eliminate him or get rid of him suggested by his main opponent to undercover foreign Canadian spies, caught on tape was ably defended by the opposition and no one was jailed and His Excellency, The President accepted the verdict of the Court.
THE PARDON AS RECOMMENDED BY THE COUNCIL OF STATE IS VERY DEMOCRATIC AND HAS SAVED GHANA. It does not in any way encourage civil disobedience.
In my view and without prejudice, I believe although it has not been suggested anywhere else that The Supreme Court was all out to close down the Radio Station.
