I think the NDC chose Cape Coast for their campaign launch because of the Infrastructural development that has taken place in that city over the years such as the new Cape Coast Stadium and the most beautiful market of all time in Ghana situated at K)t)koraba (kotokoraba) which is still under construction. people may argue that, the fantes or 'Cape Coasters' are die hard supporters of NDC but I can debunk that argument based on their previous voting records which usually determines the winner of the Presidential elections over the years. their votes look like chameleon which changes colour and has no one direction toward the two main political parties in the country. I stay in cape coast and at Apewosika to be precise. I can confidently say that, it is still a 50/50 game between the two political parties when we talk of cape coast.

Central & Western Regions are the homes of the FLOATING VOTERS & BLANC VOTERS, because they vote on pure merits & performance of a political party & they're not partisan tribalistic & party colours voters like the whole rest of Ghana regions usually do.
These two regions are the most proud voters of Ghana.
They don't allow any particular partisan political party to breast-feed them with campaign lies like other cheap chorus-singing regions do!!!
Civilized democracy was born in these two regions.
