Liver disease is any disturbance of liver function that causes illness. The liver is responsible for many critical functions within the body and should it become diseased or injured, the loss of those functions can cause significant damage to the body. Liver disease is also referred to as hepatic disease.
Liver disease is a broad term that covers all the potential problems cause the liver to fail to perform its designated functions. Usually, more than 75% or three quarters of liver tissue needs to be affected before decrease in function occurs.
The liver is the largest solid organ in the body; and is also considered a gland because among its many functions, it makes and secretes bile. The liver is located in the upper right portion of the abdomen protected by the rib cage. It has two main lobes that are made up of tiny lobules. The liver cells have two different sources of blood supply. The hepatic artery supplies oxygen rich blood that is pumped from the heart, while the portal vein supplies nutrients from the intestine and the spleen.
Normally, veins return blood from the body to the heart, but the portal vein allows chemicals from the digestive tract to enter the liver for "detoxification" and filtering prior to entering the general circulation. The portal vein also efficiently delivers the chemicals and proteins that liver cells need to produce the proteins, cholesterol, and glycogen required for normal body activities.0572174551

Would you say President Obama is evil and the Speaker of the House or Senate Majority leader good? Would you call Black Americans and other racial minorities in the USA evil and the Police departments good? Could you even consider yourself polished now than prior to your arrival in the USA? There are no good or bad people in Ghana by virtue of their political party affiliations; most of the classroom educated class, of which you may be one, are bad because they are ignorant about what constitutes best public policy, practices and procedures.

Can you Mr. Maxwell Sowah name just one person, of the political elite or educated elite class, who went into government not rich and got out not filthy rich? I judge Nana Akufo-Addo more harshly because he has no moral compass. In Ghana politicians are thieves and it's a given but when Nana shows loyalty to NPP over Ghana I know he is not fit to represent Ghana. Remember it was from Nana's own mouth when he proudly and boastfully told us all that he witnessed Kufour's government property giveaways as immoral but kept quiet and chose not to accept the gift offered him by Kufour. Now tell me why was cheating Ghana better by Kufour and Nana Akufo-Addo as a witness but turning away any better than a thieving NDC? Ask Nana if aiding and abetting is not a crime?

First, i have learned so much both in Ghana and the US and my logical thinking is at a all time great. Mr. Abeeku Mensah, NPP is not a perfect political party, neither NDC nor the Democratic party and the Republican party in the biggest democracy. Nana Akuffo-Addo is a proven example here. Why do you try very hard to dig dirt on his judgment. He did not in anyway aided Kuffour to give away public property. You use the word witnessed, he protested. That was the other of the day and this is a new dawn and a new day. Mr Abeeku Mensah, I agree with you that the culture of politicians taking government properties ofter leaving office is a crime and must be stamped out. One lesson I can teach you today is, if you don't stand for something you fall for anything. NPP has a proven record under Kuffour, and the record is there for all to see. Mr Abeeku, please don't smear Nana's name.

It is very amusing to hear a die heart NPP supporter, trying desperately to convince Ghanaians to vote for his dear party. Sowah must be told in the face that none of the governments we have had in the Third Republic so far had been corruption free and that there is no way an Akufo-Addo's government is going to be devoid of corruption.

Ghanaians are not foreigners or oblivious to the corrupt practices perpetrated by the NPP government which Akufo-Addo was a member. Any right thinking Ghanaian will be quick to point to the fact that any future government of the NPP is going to be the most corrupt considering the number of years they have spent in opposition.

Anyway,you are at liberty to campaign for your party but it sounds reckless on your part to describe your opponents as evil. In spite of the so called corruption of the Mahama government they have a lot to show by the number of infrastructures they have put in place.

Oh, you called the corruption of this administration, "so called "....really? I guess you are part of the top 1%. Go back and read the article. If 90% of Ghana's close to $27billion debt was acquired in the last 7yrs and the Ghanaian people are still living a life worse than before the last 7yrs, where has all the money gone to. Do not tell me infrastructure, for God's sake. Please, spare me that. That's a different chapter, stay tuned .
