Atta-Mills had known for some time that his vice president, John Mahama, had been corrupt and was inflating contracts at every given opportunity. He was so convinced that he had him investigated but just when he was about to sanction Mahama he died suddenly under the most mysterious of circumstances. Anyidoho here was the one who tipped Mahama off as to what Atta-Mills was about to do but what he didn't bank on was that his tip off would culminate in the murder of Atta-Mills. Anyidoho saw his folly and realised he had inadvertently caused the death of his mentor. Fearing a severe backlash and possible prison term he is now in cahoots with the murderers to stifle and divert the public's attention. In the meantime Mahama saw an opportunity in Atta-Mills' illness as the perfect alibi to get rid of him and at the same time reduce any suspicion linking the crime to him. But the real reason of his murder was to stop the results of the investigation becoming known. The guilt of being partly responsible for the death of Atta-Mills is the reason Anyidoho can never shut up about his mentors death. He is waiting for that trigger point where he will finally spill the beans!

Koku Anyidoho is among those who planned and orchestrate the killing of former president Atta Mills.
