The other foolish part of that decision is that in my village where no one has gone near the airport or crossed the border with our next village and ever own a bicycle and therefore have no drivers" license, two registered voters are to guarantee for those deleted if they want to re-register. Who else is left on the register? If all those who can guarantee also used the NHIS card and have been deleted from the roll, how could anyone in my village participate in the elections? And with the slow pace of the re-registration exercise, all those who can guarantee for anybody will have to follow the new applicants to the centers everyday until they are registered. What a country of educated illiterates!!

I think one necessarily need a birth certificate to obtain a passport. It cannot be possible to get a passport with only a NHS card.

We have many foreigners who are in possession of Ghanaian driving licence, many of who have also registered and voted. What about that? The fact is, president Mahama is a northerner, who has no business rulling this country for even a single day

2. The mere fact that an action is possible does not exonerate it and hence for the Learned Judges to applaud it.
3. Appears Gbevlo lartey is bent at ensuring that sacrificing everything, including the sovereignty of the country on the altars of winning election.

Does the law allow NHIS card holders to use their card as identification for acquiring passports or driver licenses? We need more education on the uses and non-uses of the NHIS card.

Does the law allow NHIS card holders to use their card as identification for acquiring passports or driver licenses? We need more education on the uses and non-uses of the NHIS card.

If detected ur passport will be invalid to travel with since u did not use the acepted ID card to acquire it.

Freedom, democracy, and a reliable constitution comes with a price tag, and we shouldn't give up any of these because it costs money, some lost their lives for these values. I commend Abu Rahmadan and his team for questioning the constitutionality of registering with NHIS cards and going through the right channels to prove his case. Ghana needs more people like that in politics if we expect the laws to work for us not the politicians who result to insults and statements without value.
