The corruption at the port is so much that is hindering all exporters. this is killing business in the country. When u come to Europe, u don't need to see any agent to clear your goods, but due to the corruption in Ghana, they have created all these lengthy procedure to corrupt business. I don't think the officials are serious in combating corruption in the country else, its so easy to make changes to avoid these cancer killing the country's progress and development. All it takes is to look at how some of this advance countries process their import or export goods and amend it a little to suite the ours and its done. secondly, try to implement technology to avoid human contacts as much as possible.

I tell you all the truth, the only way corruption can be reduce drastically from these highly corrupted institutions in Ghana, backed by Law and acts' of Parliament,is to allow importers to pay their import charges directly into state account at any commercial bank, without paying the said monies through the institutionalized corrupted clearance agents who drives and lives decent lives more than those who suffer to bring in taxes for the country's development. How on earth could all of you be there and pretend this is not corruption in disguise in the ports of Ghana?.
Even schools in Ghana, Students and parents are made to pay school fees into schools' accounts to eliminate corruption if completely to the minimum level. Why can't the Government of Ghana and the Customs also do the same? Even if clearance agents are required to clear someones goods at the ports of entry, they charge even higher and than pay secretive penny through their allied dubious customs officers into state's account, this is very worrisome and a bane to Ghana's developments.
The Law that established those so called clearance agents, and custom officers receiving moneys from importers and the conducts of immigration officers at various passport offices in Ghana, are themselves corrupted instruments and must be abolished immediately.
Gives importers their bills and charges and let them pay directly into state account and submit their receipt for onward processing.
Corruption in Customs, immigration and Clearance agents is too much!!!
And why has everybody kept quiet???
They charge high sums of money and how much they pay into state accounts is mystery between them and customs officers.
2. Go to the passport office and see the monies they are collecting before printing passport for people of Ghana. They won't print, until there had been exchange of monies through the back door. And these back door personnel's are the people who should have initiated better course of mother Ghana but their 'kick backs' matters most to them. Send spies there and see or go there and interview those who are there to take pictures for their passport as well as those who got the grace of God to have theirs down without extra charges when they actually received are yet to receive the passport booklet and see. Go to the passport offices and see the queue, Yet hardly 10 people are attended to in a day, and even that about 95% of peoples whose passports are printed, goes through the back down with extra charges not below GHc500.00.and Lunch, dinner and breakfast charges which are demanded forcefully, but to be implemented under duress of 'free will' by the innocent people who are forced for partake in the dirty conduct. What madness is this???? Big Boss call them; do this, do that to(for) sosoandso and so, nepotism. God save Ghana.

Lets fight this madness out of their head. Those organization and association heads, does that mean they don't see anything? or what? These associations and organizations in Ghana most of them if not all, are themselves useless and signatories to corruption if they claim they don't see these things going on.
The media should have do this work for mother Ghana, not to campaigning for people who loose the sense of judgement as soon as they are voted appointed into offices.
