While the NDC can show what it used its part of the debt to do, late the NPP point out what they used their part to do. It is then that we will know which part used the money wisely or not. By the way, Japan's debt to GDP ratio is over 300 percent, and this cuts across for several developed and emerging economies. Prof.Mills took over from HIPIC and moved into the Lower Middle Income Status because our GDP 14% and Inflation rate below 10%.
The production of oil plus the comparatively better prices of gold,cocoa and other commodities were all contributing factors to this historic growth.Then came the world recession from 2007.
The new world economic order has affected the donors funding to Ghana and by its status as a lower middle income country.
When the donor funds were no longer coming,the govt is now obliged to borrow money directly from the Financial markets.This is the reason why the current govt decided to apply H ome grown economic Policy" which NPP boycotted the forum in Senchi.It's the same home grown Policy implimentation that obliged the govt to go for IMF technical assistance for 3 years.NPP should not think that foreign donor countries will support our national budget again as they did in the past.NPP should not think that international financial institution will write off our debts again like they did it for Kuffour,HIPPIC is over now.There is no free money coming from anywhere again so NPP must get ready for more loans.Thank you.

Mahama in the short period, has invested massively into the health sector. In the sector alone, we now have Four new regional hospitals.

Under the NPP, there was none.

In education alone, it will interest you to know that government actually has invested heavily into the area by increasing the nations infrastructure tendencies of the area and bringing on board policies to motivate especially the teacher to give forth their best.

Ghana and it's economic fortunes and development has been obliterated by the John Dramani Mahama NDC gov't's unrepentant and doubled-down policy of "borrow to loot" to the extent that, given the huge debt profile, and the single largest accumulation of debt by any government since all administrations from independence combined, there is absolutely nothing, zero, zilch, nada to show for such an obscene debt profile.
At the last count, a signature NDC manifesto promise of building 200 SHS's all across this country had only about 10 SHS's out of the 200, completed.
A promise to make dumsor dumsor a thing of the past has become a running narrative of confusion and outright ineptitude with John Dramani Mahama at various times giving himself plaudits and accolades for solving dumsor, dumsor only for it to come back in a much ferocious fashion and manner, creating the situation where fair-minded Ghanaians are left to wonder whether John Dramani Mahama even know and understand what he talks about even 10% of the time.
Clearly, the John Dramani Mahama NDC gov't will go down in the history of administrative governance in this country as by far the worst ever yet, since Ghana gained independence in 1957.
This is not a party or gov't that has any clue, none about how to move the wheels of development and economic prosperity forward and the failed leadership of the Mahama NDC gov't will go massively and quickly on Dec. 7th 2016.

I was surprised to see Daily Guide add 'Africa' to its name, something that must have just been adopted. I then wonder why. Was it to appeal to local patrons as being now more widely read, throughout the Continent of Africa? Or, the name-change was only the tip of the iceberg, and that the Paper has a new vision to go continental, aside of being on the Net?

If the Paper adopted the name with a plan to spread its wings from Cairo to Cape Town, from Bangui to Asmara, it sounds very ambitious and we must all support it.

However, if the name was adopted just so to fool us all that it is more important than it really is and has no ambition to reach far and wide, especially when its contents do not even reflect much News from other parts of the Continent, then the Paper must be ashamed of itself and stop towing the line of deception as its owner, Freddie Blay, is known for.

The Paper has lately been so parochially partisan it has lost much of its credibility, and its dedication to destroying Afoko, the political internecine nemesis of its owner, casts a heavy cloud of unreliability on the Paper.

While on this very issue of the Paper alleging that the incumbent NDC has blown our GHC 100 Billion, the Paper compares the debt associated with the NPP incurring only GHC 9.1 Billion, just about 10% of that amount, as at the time of Kufuor's exit. While that comparison raised gets the attention of Ghanaians, one significant point that the Paper failed to consider is what those amounts were supposed to have been used for.

The Paper should have broken down the supposed utilization of those amounts to show what either Administration used the monies on for better and more credible comparison.

So, may we ask the Paper how the Kufuor Administration utilized the GHC 9.1 Billion? Meanwhile, we were made to understand that Kufuor had succeeded in getting our Lenders wipe all our Debts off the books with HIPIC to give us a clean sheet of bill. So, for how long did the past Administration of Kufuor's spend that GHC 9.1 Billion, and on what specifically?

The Mahama Administration, we all know, has GYEEDA, SADA, SUBA among others to blame for squandering our money. So, could we learn from the Paper what the Kufuor Administration spent all that GHC Billion on?

We are tired of being blasted with shallow rhetoric that only alarms us without the necessary details to help us make educated opinions to change course for the better. Just so Akufo-Addo would win is not enough reason for the Daily Guide (Africa) to flash the horror of misappropriation by the incumbent Administration in our face.

We deserve to be adequately and incisively informed on issues of this nature and if the Daily Guide (Africa) is going to take up that responsibility to inform us of how badly we have been duped by the Mahama Administration, it ought to provide the details for us to believe it.

The Paper has eroded its credibility with the way it handled the NPP internal crises. And we all must take the Paper to task on such a crucial issue, so that we don't just get driven by it into some fool's paradise.
