What don't you understand about his suggestion. He is also suggesting that we should choose a day in the month of November instead of a date to avoid situations when it falls on, for example, a Sunday when many people are going to church to worship. Election Day in the United States of America is the Tuesday following the first Monday in November. It can fall on or between November 2 and November 8. This is something worthy of emulation if we are to do the right thing. Bench-marking a good practice of another country or organization has become a wholly accepted phenomenon universally and Ghana must open its eyes.

He started his lunacy by calling himself Dr. Amoako Baah. When the news broke out that he has no phd. degree then he went into hiding. Now he is coming out slowly thinking that people might have forgotten about it. Shame unto you, Mr. Phd.!!! No wonder, such characters are very common among the Npp. Even their leader till today doesn't know the law school he attended, but he is a "lawyer ". Only in Ghana. Not a surprise to any reader that he couldn't explain why Nov. 7 is irresponsible. Low IQ.

What value did Dr Amoako Baah adds to the debate? There is no debate about the day the elections would be held in November, the contention is whether the EC would be ready to run successful election if the date was brought forward to November 2016 considering all the court cases it currently handles. In any case Dr Amoako Baah suggestion of Thursday or Friday can also be said to be irresponsible suggestion. Some of our christians brethren bury their love ones on Thursdays and our Muslam brethren observe their prayers on Fridays. He should have thought through deeply before throwing those days out to the public. By this it confirms that he does not take his time to understand developing issues before rushing out with an opinion. A learned person should speak only when all the facts are at your disposal. In fact the EC proposed day of every first monday in November in any election year is more than apprepriate because mondays are neutral days for every one.

The base document which is the Voters Register, is not regarded as a document fit for purpose. One of the contesting parties has said it contains names of aliens, minors and dead persons. Also, names of over two hundred thousand persons ,who were deemed to have been registered overseas prior to the 2012 elections but could not be verified, are on the register. The Voters Register, as it stands now is inaccurate and an unreliable base document. Any attempt to rectify this base document, has been parried by the EC. Why should we spend precious time to fix a date of 7th November instead of the known and existing 7th December date. This is when the document which is key to elections has not been rectified? Is it the case of the ill celebrated putting the cart before the horse scenario?
