Let the state enable every Ghanaian who reached 18 years to have passport which will also serve as his voter ID card. In that case the state will not use extra money to register voters and the money to be spend by the state on the registration of voter can be used to build schools and hospitals.

You are lucky you spelled the name wrong, or deliberately did so to dodge BNI following up on you. Look, the answer to Ghana's problems is not killing anyone. It is all about our Politicians being compelled by Law to do what needs be done. The Opposition itself is divided and incapable or unwilling to pin down what they charge against the Government in a Court of Law.

The Opposition does not want to spend its time and money in going that far to force the Government sit up and do the right things. All because those folks in the Opposition would do similarly when they come to Power. They do not want to set a precedent by which the NDC may use to thwart their efforts if any of their Parties could come to Power to replace the incumbent.

So, let's not talk about killing and violence. Let's talk about using the appropriate methods to change things for the best.

Siaw is completely wrong here. It isn't the President that has to resource the EC. It is the Parliament. Even if the President is against any moves to enhance the National Identification System, and all the other stakeholders support the idea, the System could still be enhanced.

All it takes is for the others to pressure the Parliament to provide the resources, and demand that the Executive or, directly, the EC to implement the program as planned.

It is also fallacious that because of the President's perceived disinterest in the Id Program, he ought to be blamed for any violence that would erupt in the Elections. This is because without the System reaching the level that Siaw expects, we were able to have peaceful and good enough quality Elections consecutively for 20 years.

So, if all things were equal, why would we expect violence in the coming Elections. Any violence in the Elections would be initiated by folks like Siaw who don't want to accept the fact that Mahama could still win the Elections.

To such folks, even if Jesus came to supervise the Elections, and Mahama won, they would still claim some fraud involved. However clean the Voters' Register gets, even doing all that the Opposition has been demanding to be done by the EC, if Mahama wins, these elements would still not accept the Results as fair.

All the above does not necessarily mean the EC does not have to do more to clean the Voters' Register. And it does not indicate support for how the NDC is running the Government now.

But to expect violence in the Elections on the bases of what folks like Siaw are claiming and blaming it on the President is simply irrational and wrong.

The President has not intervened in the work of the EC in anyway that we know of, or could be proven. He only chose the EC to replace the old one and the appointment was approved by the other stakeholders. That is all he did.

Much of the brouhaha about the EC chairman, for example, is nothing but distractive nuances and preemptive blame the Opposition seems to be making to justify their likely rejection of the Elections results, should the NDC win.

Parliament ought to be more proactive in ensuring that the EC is left alone to do what it needs to do to make the Elections fair. The EC Chairman has been harassed enough. She does not have to do every bidding of the Opposition just so to prove she is not a stooge of Mahama's or NDC's.

We must give the EC room to do its work. The Opposition Parties just have not been doing much to convince the Electorate that they have better alternatives to make the Country any better. As at now, we still have not seen a dime of the stolen SADA, GYEEDA, SUBA and Woyome monies back in our Coffers. The Opposition could have done more to speed up the retrieval of those monies.

The various charges of cost overruns in Projects all around the Nation have only gone as far as the lips of the Opposition ends. They don't seem to care enough to use any legal means necessary to audit these Projects and collect any excesses for the Nation.

All we hear daily is noisy claims of the incumbent being corrupt, and yet these screaming Political leaders would not put their money where their mouths are to go to the Courts to prove their charges for redress.

Akufo-Addo, for example, with all his overly touted legal prowess and experience as a former Attorney-General, only wants us to believe his loud screams without providing us with any concrete proofs that he could dig to expose, or go to the Courts where probably could show his professional expertise to get the culprits slammed in jail and get our stolen assets back to the State.

So, folks might be better off with the status quo than rush to follow these loud-mouth do-nothing Politicians as Siaw and Akufo-Addo and his other cohorts have shown to be. Many may ask why wouldn't I then do the work of taking the suspected corrupt Politicians to Court. I would respond by saying that if I could have the opportunity and resources to dig out the rot like the loud-mouth Politicians have, I would long have been a pedestrian to the Courts to do just that.

Amidu did his Part. All Alone. So, why could Akufo-Addo with his large resource-base, including the NPP, not do so? Why could PPP's Nduom not do so? Why could the CPP's Greenstreet or Samia not do so? Assuming they all share the view that Mahama's Officials are pervasively corrupt?

We are tired of hollow, noisy charges. We need solid, concrete ideas and actions for growing the Nation out of primitivity and poverty. For those of us far removed from access to records and bookkeeping Accounts, we justifiably derive our frustrations and disappointment from the simple fact that we see our Resources depleting but have nothing to show for. So, yes, we could by that alone claim discontent with that manifestation. It is the job of our elected Leaders to do their part by actionably finding what is amiss and do more to have it fixed. They do not need to win the Elections to show commitment to that cause. What they do now is what would convince most of us to vote for them or not.

The answer is not violence. It is in hard work, integrity and intelligence.
