If Nana Akuffo Addo wishes to be President "some" then Nana Konadu's bid to be President "some" should not be denigrated. When our own Paa Kwesi Nduom lost the flagbearership of the CPP, he formed his own PPP. What if he was a she?MENOPAUSE, EVIL OR WHAT? We call it AMBITIOUS WOMAN. We may not vote for her now because we have a very good President in Office, but Politics is a choice thing. Besides, there have been cases of twins opposiing each other in politics in Poland, I believe. there have been husband and wife opposing each each in politics in recorded history.

If Ghana is not ready for a female President, it does not mean women will not feel the urge to make a move for Ghana to be ready. "Mibua anaa?" The question is her credentials are far stronger than that of her daughter and nobody is standing in the way of her daughter in politics. Some political activists are scared of early retirement and infact, retirement is not a pleasant experience. Nana Konadu in another country, could easily be President. The Chairperson of the 31st December Women..... and please note that the illustrious father of Ashanteland, The Ashantehene advises all Presidents by virtue of his staff. J.J. Rawlings is welcomed at all quarters because of his past. In a round about way, the former First Lady must never be an object of attack each time she speaks on any subject. She ought to be a very experienced woman in the world of Politics because everything happened in her kitchen and living room. If Nana Akuffo Addo is not too old, then most certainly, she too is not too old. The Queen of England is still blocking his son, Charles, the crown prince from becoming King. They can do it and history attests to that.

It was during the interview (not a press conference) that the infamous "identification Haircut" of January 15, 2000 came up and she mentioned Komla Dumor (who happened to be a friend of Komla and also his workmate at Joyfm those day).

So gentleman, don't create the impression that Komla's name just drop out from the ether. No it didn't.

If my memory serves me right, as at the time that Komla Dumor was a student at the University of Ghana, students weren't paying any fees so only heaven knows what this evil woman is talking about. Secondly, I can confidently say that she wasn't referring to Komla's education at Harvard.

Selassie was kidnapped on 15th January, 2000 (16 years back) and had his hair shaved with broken bottle at the presidency (at the Castle). Is Konadu saying Komla should have been soft on her in that interview because she allegedly paid his fees at when he was at the university (at a time when no fees were paid at our universities)?

This whole statement from Konadu is a big lie and a face-saving concoction, meant to tarnish the image of Komla Dumor and his family.

In fact, played no mean role in bring the NPP to power in 2000. I do remember vividly how he went after the NDC and Rawlings, giving them a hard time and setting the stage for the NDC to be kicked out of power. So it was with so much pain when later, this same NPP people with the help of Kweku Baako, and the security apparatus of the state, laid into Komla Dumor when he exposed some fraudulent deals under the NPP government.

Those of you who are grown enough and have good memory will recollect how this drama between the NPP and Komla unfolded right before our eyes. At one point, Kweku Baako even insinuated in Joyfm studios that Komla was a cocaine smuggler and questioned how a "small boy" like him could afford to buy a Mercedes Benz.

These are known facts.

In conclusion, I can only say that Konadu's story can never be true simple because when Komla was at the Univ. of Ghana, students were not paying any fees, not a dime!

This woman is very economic with her statements! I worked at the Finance Office, UG Legon,(1981-96) and was also a student at the School of Administration, UG Legon. I was still working at the Finance Office, UG Legon when Komla came back from Nigeria, to Legon.
At the time Ghanaian students were only paying registration fees which was peanuts and Komla could have paid that easily.

Komla was my friend as well, I was then working and also living on Campus (Annex C Flats). Komla's widowed wife Quansima and her older sister are my witnesses.

I dare Nana Konadu to tell me or the whole world the fees she paid for and on behalf of the late Komla when he was in Legon. Tuition was free.

Eh! Nana Konadu why even bring this up? May be she gave Komla some "chop money" not school fees.

Students were also given SSNIT loans annually so what fees is she talking about?

If she assisted him with some pocket money, that would not be the same as paying his school fees. Moreover, Komls's parents were not poor and could easily afford to take care of their son. His father was a Senior Lecturer at UG at the same time when Komla was a student there. Konadu and her husband claimed they were poor and that friends paid the fees for their children's education. So how could so-called poor people pay another person's fees for him? What a bunch of lies!
