John Mahama has rewarded him because of Wontumi, but I tell you if the mp and the other guy hadn't reported of the beatings by Wontumi, Kofi would never had arrested him. Let your ndc fool soldiers misbehave and you will know the real man he is if he will leave Asanteman to work for ndc. He and his men will protect Ashanti/Kumasi before ndc. Don't rejoice that he is going to work for you, he will rather work against you for the peace and interest of Asanteman. Because of one man, Ashanti got a lot from Osagyefo even though Ashanti didn't like the CPP ideology and that man was Krobo Edusei. He made sure that KNUST was built in Kumasi, shoe factory, jute factory and Kumasi Asafo market were built by Nkrumah, that was how one man could convince the president to do for his people and he made sure Osagyefo never intimidated his people for not voting for him.Never think Kofi Boakye will allow you to misbehave in Kumasi.

After his ordel in Ashanti Region in the early beginning of 2000, Kofi was trap with some alledgations with which he was not ivolved, but simply because of his loyalty and honesty in the service to the People of Ghana. Eventually, Kofi was interdicted, but did not gave up, and promised "he will not give up his Uniform until the truth is out, he then enrolled at the Law school, and finished as a Lawyer. Remember all these Days, he was still under investigation by the Police, by alledged offences he never committed. Kofi`s case was, he wanted Ashanti`s Palace to be searched after alledged Cocaine saga which got missed in a boat. Infact, Kofi knew where those bags of the Cocaine was been packed. This was the time of Kuffour`s Administration. all. Kuffour did not like Kofi to bring the truth out, because it will affect the Asantehene and some of the Big guns in Kumasi and his ruling elites so he needs to be interdicted on..........and on. Kofi was at last found to be innocent and was reinstated to the Police Services, showing his capability, and the love to the serve again, so what are you ignorant idiots talking about. Do not be short-minded persons.The promotion has been long over due.

1. CONSTABLES - CHIEF INSPECTORS are promoted by the IGP.
2. ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT of POLICE - CHIEF SUPERINTENDENT by the IGP acting on the advice of the police council.
3. ASSISTANT COMMISSIONER of POLICE - COMMISSIONER OF POLICE by the President.

Anything that does not look like an elephant is like a foreign language to the NPP. Kofi Boakye over the years has demonstrated keen leadership and fairness wherever he was tasked to serve, and is very deserving of his promotion.

They can b promoted after serving a mandatory service of 4 yrs or more b4 they can b promoted.
And always there must b only 10 COMMISSIONER OF POLICE (COP's) in the service.
