I supported Muntari until his arrogant refusal to testify.Essien is nobody's fool and a superstar in his own right but he saw fit to avail himself to those investigating the Brazil fiasco.Muntari's stubborn refusal even to his own father's request to testify told me all I needed to know about him.Money and fame has corrupted him beyond redemption.Don't get me wrong ,I still believe he was provoked and even though I can not subscribe to hitting an elder I can still understand how a loud mouthed know it all upstart like Armah in the players locker room was a terrible idea.With that said Muntari was wrong for hitting him.And more importantly after the adrenaline dust settled he could have shown some maturity and class by testifying and playing a positive role in the reconciliation effort instead of taking childish shots on social media.We must accept his apology and accept him back in our good remembrance but must never allow him back into the Blackstars.That ship has long sailed and we must not go back for an impetinent seaman whose replacement is doing just fine.

Muntari was a young, intelligent, skillful, energetic player when he started his career with the Black Stars during the 2006 world cup qualifying matches. He was a star player then.
Today, as a result of aging, he has lost most of these excellent qualities. Particularly as a result of the abundance of new and emerging talents, it would be absurd for someone to be thinking of Muntari to be included in the Black Stars. By rightly rendering an apology, (though it would have been better if rendered earlier and far far better if he had not misconducted his life in the first place), he has done well but, this is not a good reason at all for including him in the Black Stars. The only criterion any Ghanaian player must satisfy to get called into the Black Stars is formguide as compared to the form of others. Even all players in form currently cannot find place in the Black Stars because of limitation on numbers how much more a player who has lost form? Sulley must rather be thinking of a happy retirement.
