You claim ".... that total investment into the mining sector from 1980 to 2015 was some US$16 billion..." yet you smart business guys made no effective provision to generate your own power as is done in some other parts of the world where your companies operate. Instead, despite your huge profits your chose not to invest in power for your operations but rather capitalize on cheap government subsided power. You are part of the causes to the power crisis we've experienced over the years. You want free/cheap power. Many (..not all, or even most) of these people are just talk talk, textbook copy and paste buffoons. Many major mines around the world use their own power generating plants for their operations - some are run by the same parent companies that operate in Ghana. Developing countries are usually taken for fools, ....and some of our so called intellectuals help perpetuate that.
