I don't know how detectives in Ghana do their work. In the US where i live, and in cases like this, the wife would be considered a suspected accomplice since she happened to be home at the time of the murder.
Asiedu, the killer, has said that he went to steal but not purposely to kill the MP. The question is how did he pick the MPs house which has a security man on guard at the time of his supposed heist? Why did the wife not hear a struggle or any noise since Asiedu said there was a struggle between him and the MP which resulted in his stabbing the MP to death.
Everything point out that Asiedu was hired to killed. The cover up of the Ghana Police and the BNI is very worrying. The guy has made some confessions and all the law enforcement agencies got to do is to give the guy some 'barbaka' treatment and he will give more leads. A killer deserves not to live. I will suggest they squeeze his balls until one of his eye pop out, and the truth will come out.
