But hopefully what appears as an unguarded move whether legal or not should serve as a lesson to others and let's move on so that the learned judge can concentrate on his core functions as a Judge. Although he should have erred on the side of caution/abstention to engage the press to err is human!!

I wish you had him being interviewed rather than what has been reported. He was a gem as he educated the host on a lot of legal issues. Mind you the host is a lawyer too. In the interview he disclosed that a judge or magistrate is not allowed per a clause in their article to grant an interview to a journalist even if the interview would be off record. By granting that interview, Dotse erred he contends. Dotse breached the code of ethics that says they should not grant interview to journalist. And you asked of where he schooled? UG, and Havard Law School for his Master of Law and his PhD in Juridical Sciences which he obtained with distinction.
You see why you could not understand him? Are you ok. Don't be ashamed. You could let him be a model to one of your kids since it could be too late for you to be like him.

You have just spoken my mind bro. Is/was the case still pending or impending at the time of Dotse's interview? He quoted some articles to affirm his stance but it was quoted in bad taste since there had been a ruling of which he was part. Dr Atuguba, a nephew of Judge Atuguba of EC petition fame was appointed as press secretary at the Presidency by Prez Mahama so am not surprised. What I want answered is that, are those who registered with NHIS cards all NDC members? If you do not know why have you become PRO for the EC especially when these learnered judges made provisions for re-registration? NDC have skeletons in the closets but they can't turn to ghosts.

Apparently,Abu Ramadan lost the substantive case against EC because the SC rejected his call for a new register.
Even though, the SC agreed that the voters' register is unreasonably accurate because there are some ineligible names on it.The dead, minors and those who registered with NHIS Cards.
The order of the Supreme Court is as simple as abc.Look EC,you are not going to compile a new voters' register but just go and clean it up immediately with the exiting laws of Ghana.
From administrative purpose, the EC have to apply the process for deleting all the gruops identified by the SC as ineligible. Then according to EC,they will use the CI91 to clear the 3 groups from the register during the exhibition, period.
The EC said that the SC didn't instruct them to delete NHIS Card holders by itself and that is true. The SC also ordered EC to follow the due process,so what is all this long talk for?Thank you.

It's unbelievable to hear some of our so-called learned lawyers make bogus public statements about the SC's order to the EC to delete names of all NHIA card-holders, minors and the deceased from the electoral roll. While the NDC is blatantly disregarding the SC's simple order, people like Raymond Atuguba would come out and condemn Justice Jones Victor Dotse for making things clear. The NDC is in bed with the EC and finding every means to rig the coming elections, just as they've done in the past. As I continue to point out on this very website, the NDC have been rigging elections since 1992.
Everyone who thinks Ghana is in a democracy should think twice! I've state here previously that the NDC don't believe in democracy; they were forced to turn Ghana to democratic governace by external forces. Folk will recall Rawling had engaged the services of late Prof. Kofi Awonoor to write his [Rawlings] memoires and the reason why he should be president for life. Rawlings didn't intend to relinguish power; he meant to hold on power for life! Folks would also remember his famous words: "hand over to who" when he was asked by journalists when his PNDC gov't would hand over power.
These bunch of covetous and envious people had a wicked agenda; their aim was to wrestle power from Akans who they perceive as having greater power and dominance in all spheres of Ghana's being. To some extent, they succeeded by dismissing many Ghanaians, esp. those who held top positions in gov't and among the security forces.
Rawling and his gang stood on roof tops shouting about freedom, justice, probilty and accountability. Today, under the influence of John Mahama and his corrupt NDC gov't the EC boss is telling Ghanaians that they can go to hell; she's won't disclose the cost involved in the EC's crazy rebranding. Everything in Ghana is up-side-down! Things continue to fall apart for every Ghanaian; young graduates from our nation's colleges and universities, and esp. the youth can't find jobs to do. The kind of corruption and thievery going on in Ghana esp. in high gov't places is unprecedented in Ghana's political history. On top of everything, the NDC is trying to divide the country with tribalism. The NDC and their allies in gov't and everywhere don't believe in the constitution; they're just pretending to be democratic, yet they won't obey the Supremen Court. It's funny!
It's time for Ghanaians to wake up and "resist the oppressors rule" as written in our National Anthem! Enough of the crazy Mahama and his bullshit! It's time for our youth and civil societies to mobilize themselves and hit the street in their numbers to express their disgust about the on-going situation in Ghana.

Thanks for educating all of us who did not watch the interview especially those of us who wear political lenses on such issues. Instead of talking about the merit of what Dr. Raymond said, he was askingwhere he was schooled.
Do you follow the supreme court judges in the state?,justice Dotse did nothing wrong.
Have you studied their code of conduct? That will bring light to you
More fire my brother...I hav been laughing on his comment saa.
Eeii,is he really a snr law lecturer??I doubt
You have just spoken my mind bro. Is/was the case still pending or impending at the time of Dotse's interview? He quoted some articles to affirm his stance but it was quoted in bad taste since there had been a ruling of which ...

I think this Atuguba guy wants to be called back to his former job at the Office of the President.
He doesn't need that job. Remember he resign out of principle. He was not fired
I feel sorry for your students
This Dotse man paaaaa. He can keep his Okro mouth shut. This Ayigbe man is always doing the bidding for the Akan Party with the addicted leader who has a naked hatred for the Voltarians.
Does anybody know the real meaning of the name Atuguba? To me it means senseless, confusing, distracting and rabble-rousing. Can we have an Atuguba in Ghana who makes sense?
You are definitely NOT wiser that UG who have hired him all these years
And you and Atuguba are wiser than Justice Dotse of the SC, right?
Ken
CAN WE HAVE ATUGUBA IN GHANA WHO MAKES SENCE ? Nooooooo Brother No, Noooooo Brother no
Justice Dotse said nothing new. Nation wreckers do not want the voter register issue settled. The ruling is in the English language and only a fool will pretend not to understand the import of the Supreme Court order.
Ask the lawyers whether it is only English you use to understand the law! Then the courses in law should only be language courses, Hausa, Sawhili, Enlish, French, Spanish, etc!
Let stop joking with serious matters.

So did he speak to the media during the pending or impending case? Why is this Raymond guy being so dishonest?
The issue is a judge must grant interview to a journalist but Dotse did. Take it from there.
It's unbelievable to hear some of our so-called learned lawyers make bogus public statements about the SC's order to the EC to delete names of all NHIA card-holders, minors and the deceased from the electoral roll. While the ...
