Some of these decisions by some so called educationists defy common sense. I have taught some students who are not even married but became pregnant and were not dismissed. Why can't we change? Are Nursing colleges not now tertiary? These authorities need to be sued.
I always got annoyed when teaching at a teacher training colleges where some housemistresses would not allow some female students(some of who were far older than me and with children) to go home on a weekend to visit their husbands and spouses. The world is changing and we cannot cling to that antiquated missionary educational discipline given to us by the missionaries. This case should get to the ministry of education or to the courts.

In Europe for instance, the husband could take the fratenity leave and look after the kids, while the mother goes to work (even a week after birth), when the wife earns more money than the husband. This is not uncommon.

They might have stressed these pregnant ladies with these decision and they have to pay for that. Ladies give birth in the universities and indeed they are assisted in one way or the other when they are pregnant. Why should a nursing training college who should have known better that pregnant ladies need not be disturbed be stressed treat these expectant young ladies in this way? There must be a national policy that protects such ladies if there is none. Pregnancy is no crime.

Women are now standing shoulder to shoulder with men in battle field, playing hockey with men, nursing mothers are taken their babies to classes both teachers and students. If the Ministry of Education can proof that a pregnant student will have an advantage over other students because the baby in the womb is going to assist the mother in answering the questions. As it goes without saying "two heads are better than one" then the ministry is right. On the other side of the coin if one of the male student is the father of these babies will this male student be allowed to take this final examination?

Colonized people are kept oppressed through a system that's organized, scientifically calculated And deliberately applied, by means of rewards and punishments.

The job of the colonialist is to institutionalize oppression with unjust laws and practices that's designed to confuse, frustrate and deny the victims of their basic human rights.
