Ghana has deteriorated badly over the past years and is getting worse. All our beautiful forests, streams, lakes, rivers, farm lands are all disappearing right under our noses and we are watching unconcerned. Even in the cities, the pay grounds, recreational parks etc are turned in shops, car parks, churches just to mention a few. We as a people have any sense of responsibility as custodians of these national and natural resources. Our Chiefs are selling off farm lands to mining companies who mine for gold, timber, diamond etc and polluting the water bodies with toxic chemicals. Our rulers are taking the very substance the we live on and we are letting. After its all gone then we start to run about and shout for governmental help. The Western/developed nation are feverishly preserving their resources yet our so called leaders and just destroying ours for their selfish and greedy needs. There will come a time when Ghana will have to import drinking water if we are not careful. What happened to our education? Let us rethink our education, raise awareness and stop the decay we are facing. Our children and Children's children deserve more than this.
