  Reading the issues of GNPC, I become confused. One critical question is that is GNPC set up as a lending institution? In fact the issues being pursued by GNPC must be critically examined in light of its core mandate or core competencies, otherwise before it is too late the organisation will be totally grounded financially.
  In the past, VRA was allowed to operate so widely like GNPC is doing and now we all know the sad fate of VRA. VRA had a lot of foreign resources under the late Casely Hayford's regime, but it was wrongly applied - buying all manners of vehicles as if VRA was a transport company. Today, VRA is saddled with financial crises. Parliament should do away with all politicking and as professionals and in the interest of mother Ghana look seriously into GNPC activities closely or else we will soon see another VRA.

  The points raised here against this approval of this loan are so elementary, clear and self-explanatory. What can the Minister of Energy possibly add to what's in Parliament to make this FRAUD any more palatable? Parliament should just stand down the request period, never to be reopened until GNPC resolves to the satisfaction of Parliament (and all of us)the issues here.

  Tell the whole truth and stop misconstruing facts. Who does the GNPC want to borrow from, how much, what are the GNPC's debts, what does the balance sheet look like. NPP politics stinks! This Hammond guy did nothing useful at the energy ministry - just tell me of his record and achievements at the ministry. Akoto Osei is the one pushing back against a national emergency response centre/program for the oil&gas industry despite the potential hazards. What the neck is going in the name of politics! These guys are holding us random knowing very well that this is only a delay tactic - absolutely nonsense!

  I have been saying this on this platform for years now. Law makers have to take a stricter look at the way GNPC operates. In my opinion, it is one of the sectors that is bankrupting the country. They should not be given any money. They should present their operational budget to parliament committee that is in charge of them, and MPs must be given time to go over the budget and then invite the top brads of GNPC to come and explain what is in the budget. This should be broadcast nationally, for every citizen in the country to see and hear what that company is doing to help better the country's economy and infrastructure. Look at the success of the Akosombo dam and you will understand the failure of GNPC. Hopeless! It should be reshuffled to end the waste of money!

  The wasteful management style of Tsatsu Tsikata era, is being played all over perhaps, by another financial wizard. If it is not wizardly how does one explain this logorligi financial engineering? The Ndc political appointees at GNPC, did not play any productive part in the discovery of the oil and gas. They therefore do not have any proprietary interests in proper management of the resource.
