Some you CPP do see Nkrumah as a super human being whose work are unparallel and would never be in the history of this country. Historical evidence, however, points otherwise. What was the population of Ghana when Nkrumah became the head of state of the country? How much wealth did he inherit from the colonial government? How wealth did he generate? Could he have done better than what he did? Was he having assets worth 13million £ at the time of his overthrow as reports have it? Why did the Justice Apaloo's report described him as unfit to be the president of Ghana?

But with the kind of system being run by President which allows for mean opposition like the NPP, rulership becomes an uphill task, but with all these, Mahama stands out. Say that again my brother/sister creativesolutions. People live in Ghana and have these phantom ideas about white people that they're so generous and would easily give their money away. Britain never doles out huge sums of money to nations just like that. Money is hard earned and every penny must be earned and accounted for, and the colonial government then was not different. Even during the era that Ghana had independence Britain as a nation was in difficulties having then come out of the world war and she was broke. That was even the main reason Britain decided to easily allow her colonies to go independently as keeping and running them was unsustainable. How would Britain then be able to leave huge sums of money for her then colonies littered all around the world including Ghana which were then vying for their independence?
Most of the infrastructure programmes that Nkrumah undertook were done with foreign financial loan facilities; the country had to pay back using our raw materials. That is the difference between the Osagyefo and the lot who have come after him in that whereas Osagyefo would ensure every penny was utilised towards the programmes he initiated and the man was so passionate, enthusiastic and keen in getting them completed and would ran all over Ghana to personally inspect those projects, the others had been lackadaisical, lazy, unconcerned and damn right stupid and corrupt whenever they contracted similar foreign loan facilities under the guise of undertaking infrastructure programmes in Ghana. Only minute percentages actually go into these projects.
As long as Ghana continues to be sustained by those entire huge infrastructures Nkrumah undertook some of which couldn’t even received any meaningful maintenance by successive governments and presidents, Kwame Nkrumah of blessed memory will continue to overshadow them all. How dare anyone in Ghana even think of comparing themselves to Nkrumah given the state in which Ghana had been over the decades since his overthrow?
Even common hygiene has become a problem for our governments to the extent that our cities and big towns even stink. Tweakai! Nkrumah would never and I say would never had let his Ghana to stink like this if he had continue to lead Ghana, no matter how much our population would had increased the man would had managed a government that could find solutions to challenges and issues.
Ghana is yet to encounter a leader in the calibre of the Osagyefo to manage her affairs, but not those who had so far come after him including the current confused one and his team of crooks.

Ghanaians should learn to call a spade a spade.

While the Brits were eager to "transport" all our wealth Nkrumah made sure it never happened... It must be agreed that the economy in nkrumah's time (ground-zero) was not bad (despite the fact that Ghana was not overtly rich as others suggest), but that is not the issue.

The main issue is quality policy implementation and a "clean forsight".
Something Nkrumah undoubtedly have (something those who hated him could never deny).

So it is not a matter of how much wealth he inherited (Nkrumah made sure we had wealth before the Brits left, something that was never achieved by any african leader). You see you're blinded by your twisted view of capitalism (on wealth generation).. He generated wealth through infastructural and a quasi-sustainable development (I used quasi because he was overthrowned) a bedrock without which there would be no foundation of ghana as we see it today.

And Nkrumah never amassed wealth for himself (all these nonsense are propaganda from the Brits and his haters to undermine his credibility).

With the issue of Justice Apaloo, read widely you will understand, don't read one source to have a protracted view on the issue. Above all, it is clearly seen and known that Nkrumah is the champion of Africa, african man of the millennium hate him or love him, you can't take it from him even if he's death

You have forgotten that, the so called democracy you enjoy today was stated by this same Rawlings you are labeling wrongly.

No matter how bad he might be, he started badly, but ended on a good note...after all, it is your end which matters.

The question is, how did Nkrumah end???. very abysmally I would say after starting democratically, he ended as an autocratic. These are the words of NPP.

President Nkrumah is often criticised as being a Dictator and imposing a One Party State on Ghana. As founder of the NDC that have ruled Ghana since 1992, for all but 8 years and where every election has been rigged has J.J. Rawlings not done worse?
