DR BAWUMIA ,THE ECONOMIC PROPHET, ON THE $250 MILLION NDC TOOK OUT OF THE $1BILLION EUROBOND FROM BOG AND DEPOSITED FOOLISHLY & NONSENSICALLY AT THE UNITED BANK OF AFRICA (UBA)--------READ BELOW------ Beyond the issue of legality, there is the issue of prudence in the management of Ghana’s resources. How do you go and borrow money for 10.75% (US dollar) and give it to someone to lend it to you at over 20% (GHC)? In effect you are paying over 30%! Assuming stable exchange rates, Ghana will be paying additional interest of at least $50 million a year on this transaction. It really is reckless. The government is claiming that the funds were “idle”. Really? What does that mean? Why do you borrow funds and pay interest on it if you do not have use for them at the moment? It is clear that the GIIF does not have a portfolio of projects ready to invest in and it is weird to allocate a whopping sum of $250 million to them at this time. Is the Minister aware that the country owes N-Gas some $100 million? What about other contractors who are owed money by the government? How can you owe so much, have so much to do and yet claim to have “idle” borrowed funds? The allocation of such an amount to a private bank also has major macroeconomic consequences for a relatively small economy like Ghana. It increases the deposits of the banking system and ultimately the money supply. It has inflationary and exchange rate depreciation consequences and would make it more difficult for the government to meet its inflation target. I am surprised that the government is oblivious of these consequences. The Funds should stay at the Bank of Ghana. After all the Bank of Ghana, on its own or through its external fund managers of the caliber of internationally reputable banks like UBS, JP Morgan, Citibank, Merrill Lynch etc. can undertake whatever investment of the country’s foreign exchange that the government would like it to undertake

Is is not the Police who is expected to stop the hooligans ?

It has really manifested that Nana Addo's claim for a new voters' register is a plan to reject the 2016 electoral results if NPP is defeated again.I'm saying this because Nana Addo and co. didn't say the register is bloated when they petitioned the Supreme Court in 2012 to overturn the declared results in his favour.By then,nobody in NPP said the current voters' register is bloated because they wanted power.NPP lost power in 2008 under Kuffour's administration.Was that one too the fault of Charlotte Osei?Then again,NPP lost in 2012 general elections.Can you now tell me it was the responsibility of Charlotte and NDC?You see,if NPP goes this way;it makes it very easy for even a kid to discover their wicked plan to create chaos in the country.Thank you.

I respect Lady Charlotte for saving Ghana from falling into Constitutional crisis that can easily warrant a coup d'état.The Supreme Court ruling gave the EC 2 options to operate.First one is to delete names of those with doubtful qualification to be on the register.The second is to clean the register immediately.The legal team at the EC opted to clean the register with due process.Remember,there are millions of Ghanaians on the register without any document at all.Again,those who benefited from NHIS voters are executives,legislators and ministers.What will be their legitimacy if they were voted into power by disqualified voters?This is a situation Charlotte has intelligently avoided.We must thank our stars that EC didn't fall into the wicked trap of Abu Ramandan and co.Thank you.

Since becoming the Director of Misinformation for the faltering NPP, Akomea has joined tongues with Bawumia in spewing serial lies to mask the ineffective campaign of Akufo-Addo. All the NPP has done since Charlotte became the EC boss has been to spit out serialized lies about her. Ghanaians thought with the retirement of Afari-Gyan, the NPP would again see straight and stick to their campaign without childish attacks on the EC. But that was wishful thinking, for the NPP is still camped outside the office of the EC, hurling stones into the building.

The NDC EC SC has maintained from Day 1 that the issue of card pertains to law. Why would you want the SC to reverse the decision it make when the case before it is not an appeal. Is the NPP even listening to themselves
