How many of NPP'S policies and plans have they tried to steal only to fumble and made mess with due to their lack of knowhow. Why does this Anyidoho keep embarrassing himself with baseless utterances? You cannot accuse the man directly but will say he is indirectly involve in any shady deals where he acted wholeheartedly by firing the culprit. Thirty-five (35) officials including a former Executive Director and his Deputy have been arraigned before court and four have already been convicted.

Just look at the huge amount of money some parties are receiving from donors, don't you think the gov would reward them with juicy contracts? This tells me that your president was not telling the truth, he is corrupt, there is no two way about that. If we can enshrine this in our constitution and make huge donations which obviously lead to corruption illegal, it would help reduce corruption drastically.

NACAP has also been implemented to deal with corruption in the country. JM saved the nation over 15 million cedis in the NSS saga.

The NDC on the other hand does not condone corruption and this is the more reason why it has streamlined the activities of the NSS which in turn saved the institution over 140,000 cedis in just one year. The Eurobond attracts an interest of 10.75% to be paid by the government of Ghana, $250m out of it is illegally deposited in UBA, a private bank. The bank, which is UBA in turn, decides to buy GHS 950 million of government Treasury bills at a rate of 24% (using the 1-year note); the bank would have made a hefty GHS 233 (USD 61) million profit in nominal terms just by loaning this same money to the government. Friends in the media, if this is not a 419 scam visited on unsuspecting Ghanaians by President Mahama, then what else is it? – Meanwhile, this is a President who is walking freely on the streets of London shamelessly mocking Ghanaians that he has never taken bribe, my goodness!!! Note therefore, that Government is paying 10.75% 24% which is 34.75% interest on the money he borrowed from the capital market. Government is paying 24% interest on his own money to a private firm. Is this sheer wickedness, foolishness, witchcraft or what? We cannot help, but agree with Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings when she posited few days ago and I quote, “If you borrow money at a high interest rate to lend it to another at a low interest rate then borrow your own money back from them at a high interest rate, you are either not wise, a thief or both. No wonder their campaign message of “vote for us so they don’t jail us, it’s time to save Ghana from this criminality”. Mahama is no where near being corrupt, he is God fearing and only wishes good for Ghana.

There was near pandemonium and confusion at the Annual Global African Investment Forum held in Westminster, Central London after a heated exchange between Ghana’s President John Mahama and former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo degenerated into open insults.

This was due to General Obasanjo openly accusing the Ghanaian president and his government of blackmailing and collecting bribes from Nigerian businessmen in Ghana, buying numerous properties in Nigeria and South Africa and financially contributing 12 million dollars to Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign last year.

This infuriated President Mahama who lost his temper and pointing his finger , called General Obasanjo an ” idiot” and a “stupid buffoon”.

That aside, is it not K4 who was sitting in the castle collecting 10% bribes on all contracts and when his own Chairman Esieku spilled the beans, he was kicked out of his chairmanship? Was it not K4 who said corruption started from Adam?

Where were all these NPP guys when their party in power was doling out Accra lands to each other like toffees, including such prized locations as the former International Students Hostel grounds, until Prof. Mills took those lands from them and built government offices on them?

The sins of NPP are too long to mention here, suffice to say, those who live in glass houses, must not throw stones.

Just as Nkrumah sought to do to move Ghana beyond where his opponents could bring it after orchestrating his overthrow, so also is the NDC administration bent to do (starting with Jerry Rawlings and moving on with Atta Mills and John Mahama).

On normal basis, as a government it is not an automatic that a president should take decisions because he is the head. Experts are always there to help the president to make perfect decisions over many projects that were executed, therefore considering what the NPP is putting forward it points to them as real village guys.

When the USA was going to bomb Sadam's IRAK, it was not Bush who made analysis and came out with the possibility to bomb the Irakis, because he was not a military expert. It was clear that the military experts who put their expertise at work before decision was made for the bombing.

In this regard of Mahama's statement, as a president the experts or technocrats are always around to put their expertise at table to help the president make decision, thus is there any wrong doing when Mahama said it was the experts who play the best part in the procurement process.

Where is the doubt in this issue? In reference to the NPP reaction to the president's comments, l describe their attack as the demonstration of the Ashanti mindset of draging matters to hold up progress because it is known about them that when they are not in charge they wish there would not be anything good to talk about. This is a selfish and wicked spirit of retrogression, the demon that drives the Ashantis.

John Mahama must be impeached now!!

STUNNAD is calling on members of parliament as a matter of urgency to save Ghana from eminent collapse, by commencing the impeachment process of President John Dramani Mahama over what we tagged, 'gross misconduct.' When a naked man promises to offer shirt, then we must be careful. When the chief thief begins to cry that his subjects are stealing properties and monies, then the society is at the verge of collapsing. If President Mahama is now shouting of fighting corruption in his government, then Ghanaians should know that they (NDC) have 'finished the country'. Because the crying baby himself is the problem…..PRESIDENT MAHAMA IS MORE CORRUPT THAN ANY MEMBER OF HIS GOVERNMENT. We want to ask Mr. John Dramani, the youthful president, why the Office of Government Machinery (The office of the President), in 2012 spent in excess of GH¢600 million or ¢6 trillion above its approved budget? What did the office of the President spend this money on? We want to know why the Social Protection Programs (SPP) spent over GHC 700 million or ¢7 trillion? The nation needs answers why and how the Ministry of Youth and Sports last year spent over GH¢300 million above its budget. Is it also true that NADMO spent over GHC 300 million cedis just in the last quarter of 2012? Ghanaians are skeptical about President John Mahama's commitment to fight corruption. Indeed, two of the most controversial international transactions associated with this government, or any other government of the Republic for that matter, the $10 billion STX housing deal from Korea and the Embraer 190 Jet and the accompanying $17 million hangar from Brazil were both led by him in his capacity then as Vice President.
It has been alleged without any response from the NDC government, that functionaries of the NDC received at least US$ 1 million dollars in bribery payments from TAQA, the United Arab Emirates based majority shareholder of the Aboadze thermal plant. According to Peter Barker – Homek, the CEO of TAQA at the time “the authorization to triple its output was obtained by inflating the official price of the expansion works” and then paying part of the surplus to government officials. The late President Mills referred to the Armajaro cocoa smuggling case. As early as the second year of the Mills/Mahama administration, Vice-President John Dramani Mahama helped Armajaro to get back their suspended cocoa trading licence, even though the matter shocked the late President Mills and Ghana so much that it merited mention in a state of the nation address. The matter of British Foreign Office officials lobbying then Vice President John Mahama to drop the case raised serious questions in the UK. Yet Ghanaians have been denied an investigation of exactly what motivated the move against the collective interest of Ghanaians.
President John Dramani Mahama led the processes that committed Ghana to the purchase of the grossly bloated Embraer 190 Aircraft and hanger purchase. In 2008, the Armed Forces had negotiated to acquire a hangar at USD5m. Two years later, Vice President Mahama returns from Rio de Janeiro with a cost of USD 17m, a whopping difference of USD12m. We are told that an extra fuel tank on the Aircraft cost USD8m even as the staircase was said to be worth USD1m.
The NDC Government of President Mahama is yet to deny the categorical assertion by former Attorney-General Martin Amidu that President Mills agreed to an investigation of the then Vice President. We are told that under pressure, a three-man committee headed by Mr. Aboah never saw the light of day even though it had terms of reference drafted to investigate the inflated aircraft purchase.
In the same year 2010, Vice President Mahama secretly wrote to the Pierson Capital Group, prepared to commit Ghana to international loan exposures without the knowledge of President Mills. After vehemently denying the letter as a forgery and threatening an investigation by the CID, the Vice President's Office lamely admitted authorship but yet again without explanation about the then Vice President's motives. We are told for the months of October and November 2012 alone, that was two months to the elections, President John Mahama approved and oversaw the reckless dissipation of state funds to the tune of GHC 500 million (5 trillion old cedis). This amount was spent by President Mahama ostensibly on projects such as renovating his office, and for “special operation”. On “special operations” for example GH¢ 3 million (thirty billion old cedis) was released, and GH¢ 3,111,844.66 was paid as “allowances for staff of the Electoral Commission”. So we are not so surprise to watch Dr. Afari Gyan to state shamefully in Supreme Court that there is 'classical definition of over-voting'.
On October 1, 2012, the National Security Council Secretariat received a whopping GH¢ 4,452,450 on “goods and services”. Intriguingly, the request was made on the 1st of October 2012 and the same amount was released on the same day from Account number 2210106.
Similarly, on October, 12, 2012, GH¢ 100,000 (1 billion old cedis) was disbursed from Ghana's coffers for “payment of special allowances”. Fast forward to 21st November, 2012, another GH¢ 3, 000,000 (30 billion old cedis) was disbursed from account number 2111001 for again “special operations budget”. On the 29th of October, 2012 from account number 2210106, payment of GH¢ 1.5 million was made for “goods and services” but was diverted for the rehabilitation of the Mr. Mahama's office. Tactical Corruption!
There is a total failure of leadership, even as insecurity, unprecedented corruption, palpable impunity, massive unemployment and hunger has stalked the land. Corruption is all over the land: you can feel it, smell it, hear it, read it, watch it, and embrace it! President Mahama is a bad example to youth of the nation, he must be impeached.
According to the constitution of Ghana Article 69 talks about removal of president if he is found in accordance with the provision of this article (a) to have acted in willful violation of the oath of allegiance and the presidential oath set out in the Second Schedule to, or in willful violation of any other provision of, this Constitution; or (b) To have conducted himself in a manner- i. Which bring or likely to bring the high office of the president into disrepute ridicule or contempt ii. Prejudicial or inimical to the economy or the security of the state;

The scale and scope of stealing, looting, and fraud is riveting to the eyes. One can literally hear the screams of corruption in the banner headlines of the dailies. scandals relating to, SADA ASONGTABA, ISOFOTON, GYEEDA and SUBAH and the over a US$100 million oil revenue loss between 2011 and 2013 as reported by the Public Interest & Accountability Committee with total loss of Ghc5 billion under John Mahama government. This then is the MAHAMA record. Inappropriate use of funds and tender fraud, outright theft, gross extravagance and wastage, inappropriate expenditure etc, etc are sapping the economy and have created an artificial boom, as money that should have gone into infrastructure, maintenance, employment for the jobless, homes for the poor and numerous other fundamental structural elements are being used to buy state banks for family and friends.
The health services have collapsed completely, the country is not performing, the ship is sinking due to poor leadership. We urged all Ghanaians to drop petty sentiments “the hour has come for well wishers to save the ship of the nation from wreck under the leadership of the John Dramani Mahama." The country is broke because the NDC regime has emptied all the treasuries.
To stop any possible attempt of coup d'état, the parliament must act quick to save the nation through constitutional means.

Meanwhile, could that letter have come from the Staffer but not necessarily from the President? Let no one say that Presidential Staffers occasionally do not direct things without prior notification of the President.

We all know about the Kwadwo Mpiani episode with such directives in the Kufuor's Castle. That is to say that there are precedents for such a behavior. The Bus stops at the President's foot, so to speak. And in that sense I can understand the attribution to the President of that letter. However, it could well be that the Staffer did that for personal selfish reasons, and the President did not even know about from the beginning.

Furthermore, the list that the NPP gave is empty and dry!! The STX, for example, had even the NPP Minority Leader in Parliament implicated as one of the MPs who went to Korea and came back to endorse it. Does it mean that the Minority Leader was also bribed?

I thought the NPP current leadership could have done better than that.

None of the items on the list carry any strong evidence of the President's culpability in taking any bribe or dabbling in the process. Let us see concrete direct link or action the President took to dabble in the process, or just shove the charges.

Didn't Akufo-Addo supervise similar sole-tender bids in his tenure as the Attorney-General? A case in point is the Contract that brought us Kosmos to drill our Oil? Who did Kosmos compete with to bid for the Oil Deposit?

Why didn't the BBC ask how Vodafone got our National Telecoms Company for pennies on a Pound? With our Transcontinental Fiber Optics Infrastructural Network thrown in for free?

Did the BBC inquire into how our Ashanti Gold Mines got sold to the British Mining Company in South Africa, and how the CEO of the Oboasi Gold Mines as we used to call it, who led the negotiations to sell the Mines got his Knighthood from the Queen of England?

Look, folks, most Ghanaians are usually quiet over such issues. But it doesn't mean they are too dumb to know what goes on behind the scenes of most of these International pseudo-Capitalist deals.

If Mahama would be called out as a corrupt President, let us do the same to others before him who did not do things any differently. If not, we are being bigoted, or hypocritical.

The BBC as a British National Asset often draws closer to the Imperialist collaborators at home. We should not forget that. And they would jump at the least opportunity to find fault with anyone who opposes their favorites in our Political system. And I do not think between Akufo-Addo and Mahama, the BBC would ever pick Mahama over Akufo-Addo, no matter how hard Mahama tries to show he is pro-Capitalist or pro-Western.
