Is Tekper patriotic at all? Indeed, we have vagabonds in power. Mahama and the NDC are ready to sell Ghana to foreigners for their own gain. UBA was born out of patriotism. UBA used to be a British owned bank but the Federal Government of Nigeria nationalised it to become a fully owned bank of Nigeria because of patriotism. Tekper should have also been driven by patriotism to hand this juicy investment to Ghana Government owned banks, especially,when the motive is to invest in a Ghana Government treasury bills. In legal form, UBA is registered in Ghana but the substance of the Matter is that any profit made will be repatriated to Nigeria with lightening speed and Ghana will be back to square one notwithstanding the inflationary and exchange rate implications that will follow suit.

Bring up a better alternative. Where else can elections be won and there will be no acrimony? Even in Sweden and Norway, elections are won at polling stations and NOT in the courts. Take it or leave it.

Sometimes I wonder why EC stresses so much on polling agents. The presiding officer who represents the EC is the one to ensure the right thing is done. He has the authority to recommend cancellation of results if indeed electoral malpractices occured. He is the one who opens, supervises, counts., record and declares the results. So constitutionally the EC is the one to ensure free and fair elections. Failure of a contesting party to delegate an agent to a polling station should not affect the votes if indeed the elections are free and fair. EC officials will issue ballots the police man ensures that no ballot box is taken away, and the agents will only assist. But if the EC shifts the role to political parties to be responsible for their ballots then iy is really dangerous.
