Why does it seem that the opposition party NPP, wants to control our lives, through mob mentality and threats from sleeper groups?
There are many legitimate issues the opposition in parliament can confront the ruling party with to allow the laws of civility to determine the outcome, but it is just getting out of hand the way the opposition has deviced a working strategy of rubbishing any and everything done by this government, acknowledging the fact that there is incompetence all around. Ironically NPP was just as bad and will be just as bad as the NDC should they ever return to power.
Vote your conscience and vote wisely. Never through ethnicity, nepotism, Alma mater or otherwise. Remember the Devil you Know is always better than the Angel you don't know !!!

No person, authority or establishment should interfere in the functions of the EC by directing HOW its constitutional functions should be accomplished. The FINAL decision as to whether to extend the just completed limited voters registration is theirs, and theirs only. Please note that no matter how many extensions are given there will always be some people who would be unable to register. Therefore how many extensions shall we provide. The EC achievement of about 82% registration is an excellent mark. Please do not disturb Mrs. Charlotte Osei and allow her to stick to her programme of work towards the 7 November elections. We know where you are coming from and who is urging you to pursue your line of action. In the event that Mrs. Charlotte Osei is not able to complete her task before the elections, you are the same people who are going to blame her and say a whole lot of nonsense about her.

The Electoral Commission has not abused their discretionary power vested in it as enshrined in Article 296 of the Constitution for the following reasons:
1. The EC has been fair and candid to all. Registration took place in the open.
2.The EC decision is not arbitrary or capricious, it achieved 82% success mark. This mark is excellent.
3. The EC action is not based on any bias against any one; as already mentioned above, the registration took place in the open.
When the lawyers go to the Supreme Court they are likely to quote article 296 to buttress their case and the case will be dismissed.

THE WHOLE OBJECTIVE OF THE E.C'S REGISTRATION EXCECISE IS TO REGISTER ELIGIBLE VOTERS
The WHOLE Objective of the E.C's Registration Mechanism - Registration centers, Proof of ELIGIBILITY, etc. is to ENFRANCHISE ELIGIBLE (Ghanaians over 18yrs old, of sound mind, and regularly reside in their respective poling/registration centers) to vote in elections if they wish.
It is ACKNOWLEDGED BY ALL THAT SOME TERTIARY STUDENTS WERE DISENFRANCHISED DUE TO BAD TIMING (Exams week), SHEER NO. OF POSSIBLE CANDIDATES, INADEQUATE NO. OF CENTERS (Only 1 center per Campus), ETC.
This disenfranchisement can be remedied as follows: (1)ALL Tertiary students have their PARTICULARS OF (a)NATIONALITY, (b)AGE, AND (c)CAMPUS ON-LINE. These DATA are accessible to ONLY the STUDENT and the University.
(2) Each student can answer 2 simple questions on their On-Line profile : (a) "Have you already registered to vote, or are you in the existing voters' register?"
(b) "IF NOT, DO YOU WANT TO BE REGISTERED FOR ELECTIONS?"
(c) If this Campus will not be your poling center, indicate your preferred poling center."
(3)The Universities can then send the names of those students that answer yes in (b) with (c) to the EC.

Anyawy everyone have the right to vote and it is their right to do so ,so why not extending the limited time for them to do what is their right.

Stop coming back after dead lines to request for what you think should be done.
Otherwise what will happen is that groups will be running our electoral programmers.
Next time when the EC says it's one week people should make time and get themselves registered. We should be responsible.
So madam Jean whatever ... Pls shut up and let the EC do their work. They are running by budget...who pays for the extension.
